Chapter 13: Aithnayn

Slow bath. Slow but satisfying. Tasting her all over again..

That is what happened. No need to rush. I have her all to myself.

But.. I failed to keep that reminder. I almost did it.

Again.

And there she was on the bed, sleeping.

I checked my watch then sighed. I secured the bathrobe I am wearing with the tie. Letting off the sleeves, i walked around the suited naked from the waist up. I checked Mira, and saw her robe a bit wet from the bathroom. Don't get me wrong, readers, its water. I know how your mind works.

If you don't take that off, she may catch cold.

"But wouldn't that make me a pervert?" I whispered.

She'll be sad if ever she caught a cold, or worse, a fever in her vacation.

I looked at her sleeping form and decided to take her robe off.

Slowly untying the tie, she snored cutely. Maybe she's too tired from working..

Tired of all your antics! A part of my mind snarked at me. I felt my ears go hot.

I sighed. I have seen everything but I still get flustered looking at her naked body. "Mira.. you have to take this robe off.."

She just puffed a breath and continued sleeping. She's too adorable.

Successfully removing her robe, I pulled the comforter to her shoulders. I just wanna hug her all day inside this room but I just remembered that she wanted to swim..

I shrugged. "I just need to stay vigilant for men ogling on her."

I decided to call Eclipse. She must be finished cleaning up already, right?

"Ec. Hmm? Huh? What are you saying? Stop it." I took deep breaths. "Keep your men around the area. I want them to keep an eye for perverts looking at Rakel. I want them to take and detain the people who does so."

"Aren't you being a bit over protective?" She asked

"No. Of course not. This is just.. ensuring she's safe."

"Heh. Fine. Yes boss." She answered like she doesn't believe me. But I choose to ignore her tone.

"Thanks, Eclipse."

"You're just like your brother, but he is not lowkey." She grumbled.

"Why?"

"He wants to secure the area and he's openly guarding his queen who can mangle him," she laughed. "But its weird, she doesn't mind being guarded by him?"

"What's bad about that?"l

"Nothing. But the fact that she's also a hunter.. nevermind. But you, you keep everything lowkey, huh?"

"I don't wanna scare her."

"Wow, she must be more afraid of you being insatiable, Aithnayn."

"What do you mea--"

"I just know." She sniggered. "But that request you said will be noted." Her tone became serious.

"O-Okay.."

I slowly lowered the phone from my ear, my finger hovering over the red button before pressing it decisively, severing the connection.

I looked at Mira sleeping soundly at the bed.. and it's still early for a swim, sighing, I decided to finish the paperworks that I ran out of earlier.

Realizing what I did this day made me think that I absolutely fell for her.

Do I love her already? Wait, love?

I felt so unsettled when I heard that boy's voice with Mira.

Because knowing that she's close physically with anither guy is pissing me off.

I made some guys learn their lesson to not talk shit about Mira.

Because I don't want anyone disrespecting her.

I made Eclipse tighten the security because of Mira.

Because I don't anyone looking at her with lust.

I walked towards the bed and caressed Mira's hair. She really looks like an angel. But I can feel something in her. Something not just the pinks, blues and yellows she lets on. She's got the dark too. But who cares about her dark side? Not me. As long as I have her eyes on me, her all, I will be okay.

I am her willing victim.

Her willing prey.

Her willing servant.

Kissing her lips gently, she remained sleeping, her even breathing, her rosy cheeks, her cute nose and her long lashes are all mine. Hugging her waist, i inhaled her scent. Her sweet scent..

I need to buy her things too, right? I need to ask her what to buy..

I kissed her cheeks and stood up. Feeling something down, I shook my head.

Work, Aithnayn, you aren't a soldier now.

Pulling the files inside my backpack i also took my laptop and phone, I checked for a pen, but there's none inside my bag. There is a pen in the centerpiece table though, then  I started working beside her.

Putting Luther on videocall, i started reading the papers.

"Should I still review this papers?" I asked as I try to focus my attention on the papers. Try. My eyes always fly

"Those are the papers I reviewed. Just sign them. No need to read."

"Luther.." I looked at the screen and thought about how I will ask him some questions.

"Yes, Aith."

"What does falling in love feels like?"

"It's--" from looking down at something his eyes focused on me. "What? Does this question involves the act of almost running away from the paperworks earlier?"

"Well.."

"And does it involve a woman?"

My head automatically turned to where Mira is sleeping.

"Uhh.. Yes."

Luther sighed. "Then maybe whatever you're feeling now meant you could be inlove."

"That's vague."

"Falling in love can make you feel a million of things," he went back to reading. "But the bottomline for that million feelings is one. Love."

"Still not clear."

"Trust your instincts. Some may mistake love to hate. You know that saying? 'There is a fine line between love and hate.'" Luther stopped scribbling and put down his pen. "What I am saying is.. you've got good instincts. Trust it. You know yourself more than other people."

"O-Okay."

"I think, you still haven't got it yet," he laughed. "But you'll get there."

I don't have anything to say. Because it is true.. i still don't get it. I don't know about love. But I know, I want her. I like her. Too much. I want to be her everything. I want to be the one she looks for everything she wants. Needed.

I want her to want me, because I needed her to want me.
