Chapter 10: Aithnayn

What could that boy be--

"Together," i read her lips and she said together. I swear I am so near breaking her phone. Or that boys face.

I stood up when she signalled me to come to her.

"What was that about?" I asked her and she looked at me like I did something to her.

"You can read lips?" she pulled my shirt with one hand and touched my eyes with her other hand.

Grabbing her hand, I kissed it and frowned. "How can you say so?"

"You have been mouthing words." she looked at me pointedly.

Smart and observant. I'm loving her even more.

"Well--" I picked up her things and stuffed them in her bag. "Lunch?" I tried changing the subject and pulled her out of the suite.

"If you think I will let this go--"

"Believe me, Mira," I started while pulling her to the elevator. "I can do much more when provoked."

"More? What more??" she asked as she tried to keep up with my strides. I shut my mouth from spouting more weird things. Entering the elevator, I can see her face on the mirror walls. She looked excited.

Of what? Seeing her Cutie Boss?

Ding!

The elevator doors opened and we exited. Pairs of eyes focused their attention on Mira. I wanna slit their throats for looking at her. I sighed.

"Why are you sighing?" She looked at me her face held concern.

"They are all looking at you."

"No. They are looking at YOU." She emphasized the last word. My forehead creased and looked at everyone openly.

Why would I hide the fact that I am looking at them when they are shamelessly looking at me, like Mira said?

I shrugged. They are looking at US.

"Mira!" One of the employees called her and we walked to its.. err.. her direction.

I always call other people 'that', 'this', or 'it', my pronoun for them are for inanimate objects because, if I am not seeking approval from a certain person I wouldn't address them as a person. Their pronoun will always be 'it'. And the only person i seek approval in the past, is my brother.

"Clarisse! Where is our table?" Mira hugged the girl but I can sense the disattached feeling from her. She's good in hiding it.

"There! Ysa has someone with her and she looks like a model. I never knew Ysa would be a lesbian but from the looks of it, she likes the beautiful girl!" The girl looked at me and took a step back. She looked scared.

"Mi--"

Mira looked at the girl and me, she gave her a big smile and held my arm. I can't possibly pull away because.. I like being held by her.

"By the way, this is Aithnayn! My f-- Boyfriend. I can call you that now, right?" She blinked her eyes at me innocently. I smiled and nodded.

"Of course, Mira." I kissed the top of her head softly.

Now the attention is all on us. Every table that have people who knows her looks at us with curiosity.

Then the whispers.

A girl behind Mira grabbed her by the arm. I held her waist tightly.

"Who the fuck are you?" I turned around and gave the other girl a look.

"A boyfriend?" The girl with white streaks on her hair asked Mira, she sounded insulting in my ears. "How will you have a boyfriend when yesterday you just said so you don't have one?" She chuckled.

"We just saw each other yesterday, Alice." Mira answered truthfully which I am thankful.

"You guys see how crazy this girl is?!" She shouted at the restaurants dining hall and laughed.

"Something wrong with that?" I turned my full attention to this Alice girl. She's looking at Mira like she did something so bad to her.

"Aith.." Mira stopped me from taking a step closer to the girl who grabbed her.

The whispers got louder.

"Sir." Eclipse stood in front of us and sighed. "I'll handle this."

Mira eyed her. She looked curious.

"Eclipse.."

Ysa, Mira's friend clapped. "Show's over! You, Alice, go away."

"Ec-- Eclipse." Ysa called as she held Mira's hand, i frowned.

On second thought, I won't do anything.

I heard Mira softly said but with no hint of concern. "Why are you standing in front of me?"

"I know,-- I.." Ysa stopped and looked at her face, almost took a step back because Rakel Mira smiled sweetly.

"We need to eat our lunch, Aith. I need to brief some employees." I smiled when she ignored the Alice girl and pulled me to the table.

She ignored the Alice girl. I almost laughed out loud. I gave the girl a glance and she looked unsure, standing there in the middle of the hall.

She is not a crybaby. She can make people who hate her doubt themselves.

Pulling me to the table she giggled. "I want to swim at the pool, Aith." I held her hand. "Will you join me later?"

"Of course." I looked at Eclipse and left an order. "Take care of that one."

"Yes, sir."

I realized. I am still Xavier's brother, maybe that is why she still acts like I am his superior. But that doesn't mean she still needs to follow my every order..

But I am not even his superior now. I'm just a regular citizen now. If.. that is possible. I'm not sure tho.

I'm dang rambling inside my head now.

"Aith?" Mira called my attention, she looked worried.

"Yes, Rakel Mira?"

"What are you thinking?"

"Work.. things.."

I made her sit in front of her workmates and kneeled with one knee and leaned to her ear a bit then whispered. "I'll get you some food." Then kissed her shoulder. "You want anything in particular?"

"Whatever you're having." She started taking out her things off her bag. "Thank you, love."

"Love huh?" I'm liking the word more.

"Uh hmm." She started talking to the people around the table as she held my face with her hand, gently caressing my cheeks then softly pulling my ears then sliding her hand to the side of my neck.

And there I am, almost kneeling to the feeling she's giving me. Enjoying her, making me a pet.

"Mira.." Her friend Ysa called her attention.

"Yes, Ysa?"

"You're small and he's tall.. maybe let him sit on the chair?" Her cheeks are red.

"Oh! I forgot. I love his smell I forgot.." she giggled. "Sorry, Love."

"It's fine." I stood up, straightened my back and smiled at her. "I'm liking it, actually."

"Hmm.."

The noisy hall silenced.

"What's happening?" She asked as she looked around.

There he is. Her 'Cutie Boss' stands by the entrance, looking directly at me, holding Mira's shoulder.

I smirked.
