Shehnaaz’s POV,

Assalamualaikum wa rahmatullah, Assalamualaikum wa rahmatullah.

I finished my salah and took a deep breath before raising my hands to pray. I smiled and talked to Allah.

Mai jaanti hu Allah aap jo karte ho acche ke liye karte ho, mujhse abhi aur dur nahi raha jata hai Siddharth se. Abhi ek hafte mai hamare 5 mahine pure hone wale hai... Please aap mere shohar ke saare pareshaniyon ko dur karde, mai janti hu abhi woh bahot pareshan hai, kuch paison ka masla hua hai, par please aap sab thik–

I heard the bell ring and got up. No one was home today, just me and baba, and they won’t be back soon. Then who could it be?

“Aarahi hu,” I shouted, running downstairs and saw that baba had already opened the door, and it was some woman. I moved closer and saw Afreen’s mother smilingly talking to baba. I smiled too. I hadn't seen her smile that much since Afreen left, but it was good to see her smile.

“Assalamualaikum, Auntie,” I went towards her with my arms open, and she hugged me back, patting my head. “Sab khairiyat se? Aayiye, baithiye na,” I pointed towards the sofa, and she smiled, sitting down and pulling me with her.

“Sab bilkul thik hai aur bahot accha chal raha hai... Saad kaisa hai? Kahan hai? Dikh nahi raha,” Rafiya aunty asked, looking around the house.

“Hanji, woh log nano ko mama ke paas chodne gaye the aur wahin ruk gaye... baba ki tabiyat thik nahi thi toh mai ruk gayi unke liye,” I smiled at her, and she caressed my head. “Tum bahot pyaari aur masoom ho,” she spoke in a sad tone and turned towards baba, talking to him.

I frowned at her sad tone but decided to leave it. Since Siddharth has left, everyone has been thinking he is cheating on me. That's why he isn’t calling me to Saudi Arabia, but I know him better than anyone else. He won't cheat on me. I smiled, remembering him. Five months were tough for me, but I don’t want to pressure him; he already lost his job, and his money got stolen from his card. I don’t know how he can be so careless. I really hope everything goes well again, and I could just run to him and hug him tightly the whole night. But he isn’t going to let me sleep for the first few days. I blushed at my thoughts and decided to shrug it off and get something for the guest.
