For them, happiness is simple: each other. Being near one another, feeling each other’s warmth—that’s their world. Their whole life and joy revolve around this bond, and they know it always will.

Neither of them ever imagined finding such pure contentment together. In Shehnaaz’s eyes, Siddharth was perfect—caring, respectful, sweet, loving, fun with an amazing personality and a job outside Pakistan. He was a complete package for her. What she’d thought was a harmless crush turned out to be much deeper, unlike anything she expected. Meanwhile, Siddharth had always wanted a peaceful life, away from family drama, with someone mature enough to navigate it all. But, somewhere deep down, he also craved a little chaos to balance things out. Shehnaaz Alin.

As the Quran beautifully puts it, “And We created you in pairs.” (Surah an-Naba’, verse 8) This signifies how they were made to complete each other, fostering affection, compassion, and comfort. Indeed, Allah created them to worship, but He also showed that to love each other is a form of worship too—and for Siddharth and Shehnaaz, loving one another feels like exactly that. Their love is a blessing, a form of devotion, as if they were destined to love only each other.

Yet, even with this profound love, Shehnaaz felt an emptiness, a missing piece that weighed on her heart.

She flinched as something fell with a clatter. “Shehnaaz…” Standing in his trousers with messy hair, Siddharth looked at her, a playful pout on his face.

“Kya hua meri jaan?” she asked, moving closer and cupping his face. “Naazo,” he began with a mock-frown, “It’s not fair—I wake you up for Fajr with a kiss, and you never do the same for me!” He pouted, making her laugh.

She pulled him down, planting a soft kiss on his forehead, which brought a smile of peace to his face. In the next moment, Siddharth lifted her into his arms, prompting her laughter again.
