Chapter 63: Redeemio

Two weeks later, Error's POV

The past few weeks have been spent helping Blip reverse the tangled timeline issue but then I get a note from Fate to get my "octopus friend back under control and stop making a mess". I groan, shaking my head and taking my phone out.

"HeY NiGhTmArE, wHaT'S tHe gAnG uP t0?"

"Just spending time chilling at the castle today."He says

"I s3e..."

"Why?"

"NoThInG. jUsT cHeCkInG."

Then I hang up.

Who could Fate be referring to in that note?

I tap it curiously and it becomes a portal. I go through to handle it, finding a huge mess of an AU with goopy cobweb-like strings hanging everywhere. It's like I just entered an AU being taken over by an acid spider. Then I spot the culprit as they continue to cause more destruction. The culprit reminds me of Ink and Nightmare. Given that fact, I prepare a solution. Once I finished the solution, I struck a string, catching the culprit's attention.

"Hmmm, you don't look like the last pain in the ass that I had to deal with. I hope you're more of a talker than him when you're lucky enough to live in my presence."The stranger says

"Wh0 aRe y0u?"I ask

"Vantablack of course."

"HmmMmmm, nEvEr hEaRd oF yOu. I'm gUeSsiNg yOu aRe fRoM aNoThEr tiMelInE. I gOt a mESsAgE fRoM fAtE—"I say

"That asshole?"He says

"I seE yOu'rE fAmiliAR. YeS, tHaT oNe. AnD fAtE dOeSn'T eXaCtLy liKe mEsSeS uNlESs I aM mAkInG tHeM."

"Ah, so you're the destroyer here?"

"Mhm."

"Then I propose that we ally. You don't touch what I seek to claim and I don't touch what you want to claim, if anything. What's mine is mine and what's yours is yours. We both destroy and take what's ours. Sound good?"He suggests

Hmm...That does sound good but I just met this Inkmare fusion. Ink has horrible memory and you mix that with Nightmare's violently opportunistic nature to get a mess. This Vantablack guy is a mess. So I should use what I coded before this encounter.

"I tHiNk s0, juSt wItH s0m3 eXtRa c0nd1ti0ns 0n wHaT's m1n3. Y0u caNn0t t0ucH uNdErn0veLa, UndErSwAp, OuterTal3, ReApeRtAl3, OuTeRtAlE, FaRmtAl3, 0r g0 n3aR n1gHtmar3's gAnG f0r aNy rEas0n. ThAt's m1n3. Th3 reSt 0f tHe mulTiverSe iS frEe uNleSs i oR bLiP, my br0, sAy s0. SoUnd fAiR? I hAvE bEeN tHe dEsTroyEr hErE, n0t y0u. My mulTivErSe, mY ruLeS."I explain

"Alright...Fair enough."

Then he gets zapped with a blue spark.

"What was that?"

"JuSt s0m3 c0d3 tHaT wiLl h0lD y0u t0 y0uR w0rD. S0rRy iF i d0n't tAkE tHe gUy l0oKiNg liKe a g0opY iNk aT hiS w0rD oR tRuSt hiS m3m0rY."I say

Vantablack is quiet for a few moments before nodding. Then he takes off to cause more destruction. Once sure that he isn't trouble for me here, I return home to watch the kids and grin as Palette starts crafting with Shino. Goth leans on him while reading a book, smiling. I enter the kitchen to see what I can make for them when they get hungry but see that we don't have much. Not enough to make dinner. I can't waste time hunting food through portals like how I grab chocolate with my strings. So I should actually go shopping. I put a list together and smiled.

"I aM gEtTiNg gRocErIeS f0r y0u kiDs s0 whiLe i aM gOnE, GoTh iS In cHaRg3."I say, going through a portal to a grocery store once they agree.

I put my glasses on, pushing the cart through the aisles and read the labels on different items when suddenly the voices got louder, yelling at me for abandoning Fate. I shake my head as their volume rises enough to give me a headache. Then when they suddenly quiet down, I get stabbed in the back and feel something like an injection get forced into my spine. My vision fills with error signs and my body glitches intensely, freezing up and preventing me from moving. I feel someone grab my hand, slip my ring off, and toss me over his back. It certainly wasn't someone I knew since my glitching increased until I crashed the more I was stuck with them. Then I crashed.
