The time couldn't go by faster. The thought of spending my time back in Luton was so exciting but I felt like it was too many days away. That was until it wasn't. I was pushing the time so much in my mind that when I was supposed to go to Evelyn's house, I almost forgot my packed things. And no, I didn't forget to pack them since I've been working on it over the previous week.

Mum was again feeling like we didn't celebrate my graduation and getting into a uni enough - but what could she do? Nothing. Apart from maybe just still letting me live under her roof. Which she was most definitely planning on doing.

"Don't forget to text me, alright?"

I glanced at her, nodding before looking out of the car's window again. We were just entering the town where I was supposed to spend the next upcoming couple of days while Mum was going to spend a while with Evelyn's mum, drinking some coffee, before going back home.

"You reminded me at least ten times already."

"I'm your mother, what did you expect?"

Shrugging, I watched the buildings around as my mother drove us towards the Armstrongs' house, in front of which she parked.

Just as the engine stopped, I ran out of the vehicle just a few seconds before Ev opened the white front door with a wide smile on her face: "Siddy!"

"The hell is with that nickname?" I asked, rolling my eyes as I made my way towards her before we hugged each other.

"It's cute," she exclaimed. "I missed you."

I sighed in contentment, keeping her close to me as her mum appeared at the door, shaking her head at us. However, she said nothing as she passed around the two of us and made her way towards my mum, where they most likely started exchanging some gossip or something similar.

"Sidney, come get your things," Mum called from behind, to which I sighed, a bit annoyed, and nodded.

I did as asked with a bit of help from Evelyn who needed to move me into her house faster. It seemed. She was acting really funny but it was understandable since we hadn't seen each other since the Christmas break.

"I'll text others so they can come over," Evelyn told me when we entered the house with our destination being her room.

  "Sure."

As said, our friends were over at Evelyn's house soon enough. All of us were occupying a part of her room, when were now made two beds - hers and an additional mattress for myself, where was now Delilah spread up, looking up at the ceiling as if she saw something interesting up there. I was lying there too, with my legs up on Ev's bed. It was quite a comfortable position, I must say.

"So... we're gonna watch something...?" Amy asked, to which Delilah sighed:

  "Nah, I'm good."

I too didn't feel the need to do anything. I was okay just lying there, being with my childhood friends. Just spending my time with them was enough because soon I would be heading to another destination. Not that I wasn't excited to visit Dad.

"Oh, come on," Jonah exclaimed, to which I could hear him moving around. "We could go somewhere at least...like I dunno...eh, I really don't know."

I rolled my eyes at that. Indeed we could go somewhere and do something. There were enough places for that. However, we just had... a graduation behind us which probably made some of us tired.

"My dear brother, you just wanna see your little boyfie," Delilah let out a laugh as she rose up from the mat.

I furrowed my brows at that, tilting my head to look at her. I hadn't heard anything about that. Maybe she was just making fun of one of Jonah's teammates. Well, ex-teammates now.
