The upcoming end of the school year could be felt in the whole building. It could be noticed even on the teachers. Everyone wanted summer to be here already. And if some did not want summer as in summer, they were going to gladly welcome the holidays. A free time from studying. Finally.
I was walking through these school corridors during the lunch break - I had mine already eaten so I was heading to the lavatory now. And while doing so, the better spirit was catching my attention. So did my phone which had just announced new messages on my Instagram. My first thought was that Ava was asking me to meet her somewhere, but instead, it was one of my friends. Even though we were texting each other on a different app just this morning, she just needed to use every group chat we had together.
e.armstrong: Sidney
e.armstrong: hey! answer you dipshit
Shaking my head, I sighed as I typed in my answer to her question from earlier - about my summer plans. Or more like my plan to visit Luton. I did plan that, of course, but I was not sure when exactly since most of my summer was gonna be spent in France.
delideeli: start is maybe better since we all will have to start packing for college
I stared at Delilah's message. They were most likely both at school and still, they were texting in the group chat. What a generation we are. A great one, of course. A one that was now realising how stupid it was to wish to be an adult.
sidnes.sanderss: ill talk to mum and let ya know
e.armstring: finally
Smiling at that, I shook my head and returned to my primary plan - paying a visit to the lavatory. The walk was not too long, thankfully, so soon I opened the door and entered the not-so-empty room.
"Bloody hell," I muttered once my eyes fell on the ginger giant. Not again.
This situation felt almost foreign to me since the last time something like this happened was pretty long ago. Well, not sure about their situation. They probably never stopped.
Blinking, I stared back at the group of my schoolmates. Just like they were doing to me. Only Ava, who was standing as far from the girl I saw with them last time too, seemed to be uncomfortable with the situation. Bullies. Stupid pathetic creatures. I sometimes just couldn't understand other human beings.
A long sigh escaped my lips as I made my way towards the closest stall. I had no intention of talking to them or being anyhow closer to them. They felt the same about me for sure. Our past encounters were more than enough already.
There was only silence in the room in the following minutes as they obviously didn't want me to hear and know what exactly they were doing. The moment felt so long. A little too much. And I just waited for them to do something, say something as I was locked in the stall. Doing my business definitely didn't feel nice while in a room full of people while it was so quiet. So I just waited.
"Go on, I'll follow y'all soon," I heard Ava say, to which there could be some murmurs heard and then the door to the lavatory was opened and closed as the group of girls left.
Sighing, I did as I needed while there was still that annoying silence around. However, thankfully, Ava was not getting on my nerves as the rest of her girl gang anymore. Or whatever they were.
"Still in the act, huh?" I spoke once I left the stall to go to wash my hands. I glanced at Ava as I did so. She was leaning onto the wall by the door like she wanted to send whoever, who would enter, right back out.
