"How was shopping?" Jake asked as they all came back through the door.
"Good, got a bunch of new stuff for Cams room!" Tara said excitedly as she made her way over to him.
"Thats what we're calling you now, Cam?"
At least it wasn't Cami. "Sure, I don't mind."
"You have fun?" Colby asked, only now walking through the doorway behind the kitchen.
"So much fun." Camila said, though it was genuine now. "Oh, here's your card. Thanks for that, had fun with that too."
Jake snorted as Colby sighed. "No TVs?"
"No TVs." Sam confirmed, smiling.
"Are you sure?" Colby asked, pointing to the ten bags on the floor.
"Yes, he's sure, Colby." Kat said, rolling her eyes playfully. "We just got some stuff so we could do up Cams room."
"Oh, that's what that's for is it?" Colby asked, looking directly at Camila as she mouthed please. "Fine, don't be too loud."
"Yay!" Tara yelled, leaving Jake's side and grabbing two of the bags, just as the rest did.
Except for Kat, who made Sam carry the last two bags. "My hands hurt, Sam." She said, puppy dog eyes on point.
"Ugh." He groaned, grabbing the bags and following the girls to Camila's room.
The girls had dumped everything onto the floor, using the spare bags to grab the things they'd bought for themselves and put them into for later.
"I'll paint," Tara offered.
"Thanks, Tara." Camila said, sighing from her lack of breath from carrying bags. "Let's only do one wall for now and then we can just see what else we wanna do. If you need any help I can help."
"Thanks, Cam." Tara smiled, then left the room to grab a chair to stand on to reach the top of the wall.
After a couple hours, the room eventually came together. Despite what gets said about women in the industry they work in, the girls managed to get at least a weeks worth of work done in about seven hours.
Kat and Tara high fives eachother as Tara jumped down from the chair she stood at. "So, whatcha think?" Kat asked.
"I love it." Camila said. The wall behind her bed had been painted grey with Tara's own little flower at the top, her sheets had been changed into a white shade instead of the ugly blue colour it was before. Devyn had set up a couple storage things with the help of Stas and Kat and Camila had hung up some paintings and decorated her desk. "Thank you guys."
"Of course," Devyn smiled. "We decorate all the time in this house, it gets really boring in here."
"So boring!" Tara groaned. "Especially when all the guys are out on jobs, we never get to go out or do anything really. We have girls lunches sometimes every week but Sam has to come with us."
"Yeah," Kat cackled. "He looks like a loser."
"Hey, you should come with us sometime!" Stas said, sitting on the freshly made bed.
"I totally would but I doubt Colby will let me leave again for a while." Camil said sadly.
"Ugh, he's such a bad boyfriend." Tara groaned.
"Woah! Not a boyfriend, haha." Camila said awkwardly, then noticed Stas' nervous look.
"What do you mean?" Devyn asked.
"Oh- well, I mean not yet. We don't want to put a label on anything." Camila said, trying to cover her mistake.
"Wow, Colby taking it slow, thats...different." Kat mumbled, laughing.
"Yeah, ha..." Camila said.
A knock ran throughout the room about an hour later as the girls all sat and talked in Camilas new room.
"Yeah?" Camila yelled.
It was Jake that appeared at the door this time, not Sam. "Colby wants all of you in the kitchen. Including you, Cam."
All the girls stood up, Camila seemed a bit nervous. What was so important?
"Dont be nervous." Stas whispered from beside her. "It's probably just a small talk about how things are going. He likes to make sure everyone knows what's going on."
"Okay. Thank you," Camila smiled, Stas smiled back.
Once they made it downstairs, they all sat comfortably on the couches whilst Camila awkwardly sat next to Sam and Kat.
"Okay. Theres a gathering next week at Benjamin Warrens place next week. Many important people are going blah blah blah. What's more important," Colby said, "everyone's invited. Including you."
He pointed his finger at Camila, who felt as though she were being stared down at. "Whos, um, Benjamin Warren?"
"Important guy. Little bit lower than us status wise but nevertheless, scary guy." Sam said. "Hey, Hal Harpers one of his guys."
"Oh, the guy I talked to at the party?"
"Yeah, that one." Colby said. "Problem with him, though, is that he has a bit of a suspicion about you, Camila. He doesn't believe your fake name nor does he believe that you're here with me."
"I get that fake name but why wouldn't he believe about you two?" Kat asked, snorting at his apparent stupidness.
"Who knows. Hes a bit crazy, Hal is." Sam said, placing a hand on Kats thigh.
"Are you ready for that, Camila?" Colby asked, and Camila hid the fact that she was surprised she got to decide this herself.
"Yeah, course I am." She said confidently.
"That'll change." Colby smirked, and Camila scowled. "Unfortunately, you have to come with us because Hals suspicions will just get bigger. Right, Viola?"
"Mhm." Camila hummed.
"It's on Sunday, so a week from today. I need you all to be on your best fucking behaviour." Colby said, his voice stern.
"Yes, sir." Tara said jokingly, and saluted. Jake snorted.
"Great, thank you." Colby said, fake smile on his face. "I'll buy you a dress. Well, if you didn't get one today."
"Thank you," Camila said, watching as he stood up.
"Goodnight." Was all Colby said before he disappeared.
"Sam, can you ask Colby if Cam can come with us to lunch this week?" Kat asked.
"God, I was hoping you guys were gonna forget that was happening." Sam groaned. "Yes, of course I'll ask Colby for you." Great sarcasm, Sam.
"Thank you," Kat said, a cheesy smile of her face as she kissed his cheek.
