Elizabeth POV

"What's the problem? She admitted that she had feelings for you, isn't that why you wanted?" Scarlett asked and I sighed pacing my living room.

I did want Y/N to say that she had feelings for me but I didn't want her to do it because Jessica cheated on her, it makes me feel like the second choice just there when it's convenient for her.

And if she knew how I felt for that long why wouldn't she say something? Or just stop inviting me to events she hosted it hurt me more to see her walk around with Jessica as if she won a million dollars, would've saved me a lot of pain.

But I still love her and that's what hurts I love her and I can't tell if her feelings are real or not. Would she be trying to get with me if the baby was hers? Would she want me if she didn't know about Jessica's infidelity?

"I did want it but I didn't wanna feel like the side bitch." I said exasperated, "She knew how I felt and I feel like she used that to try and get with me, okay? She knew that I was in love with her and she ran to me."

I heard her sigh and I started to bite my thumbnail, then she spoke, "I don't think it was like that Liz."

"So how was it, Scarlett?" She cut me off.

"No, no, I agree, it does look like you're the second choice but I don't think that's how it was for Y/N, I don't think she saw it like that."

"So how did she see it?" I asked still hating how I felt about this whole situation but it was justified.

"I don't know exactly what she was thinking but I think she was confused, she knew about your feelings but she had Jessica."

This time I cut her off, "she knew how I felt before she and Jessica got together. Again she chose Jessica over me, now Jessica's gone and now she shows up at my door?"

"It might be better to ask her." She said although it was more of a question.

"How did Y/N tell you she was in love with you?" I asked disregarding her previous comment, and I admit it felt a little weird asking your best friend about her ex who you now had feelings for.

"She never did." She said nonchalantly, and I furrowed my eyebrows in confusion, she never did?

"But you dated." I reminded her as if it wasn't obvious.

"I know, that's part of the reason we broke up, I loved her and she didn't love me."

"I'm so confused," I said trying to rack my brain to understand what she was saying.

"It means Y/N didn't fall for me like I did with her, she had feelings for me of course but it just didn't advance as far as I hoped. But we worked past it and we're good."

"So she's never been in love?" I asked and said she didn't know, is that it? Has she never been in love?

"I don't know Liz you're just gonna have to ask her. And you have to ask her about the other thing no one can explain it better than she can."
