Eleven months have passed since Aizen's defeat, but at the same time, over the past months, things have changed a great deal with the Soul Society.
First, the former Espada members have now nicely adapted to being within the Seireitei.
With some things being just as Yato expected, Byakuya and Harribel began dating one another, which, once revealed, caught many off guard. The main factor is that the current head of the Kuchiki clan, who is known for being a stuck-up person who follows the rules, is now dating a former enemy. This caught many off guard, and some challenged his authority. The former Espada defended her partner, fought some of the Kuchiki clan members, beat them, and earned their respect.
As for Starrk, he began a relationship with Isane Kotetsu, which surprised both Yato and Unohana, as they never expected a relationship like this. However, it seems that the two are really happy with one another and better one another.
The only ones who aren't in a relationship are Grimmjow and Nelliel, but they have a playful dynamic where they tease one another constantly. Despite their teasing, there's an underlying warmth in their interactions, hinting at a deep, unspoken bond between them. As the green haired former Espada is often by the blue haired former Espada member making sure he doesn't get into trouble or cause any unnecessary property damage around.

Still, after a while, Yato was given permission, even though he was going to do it no matter what, to form his very own squad, which consisted of former Espada members. With one or a handful of people having current knowledge of the secret brand-new division that has now been formed and created, making the Gotei 13 into that of 14.
With Squad 14 being that of a division who is simply chaotic and unpredictable, they often attract trouble and are seen as a squad full of misfits and troublemakers. Still, when it comes to missions, they always manage to get the job done without any issue, well, besides causing somewhat a little property damage, but they don't give much problem.

Thanks to Urahara's assistance, Yato was able to design the rooms for his squad to be as large or as small as they desired. This newfound flexibility allowed each member to have a personalized space that perfectly suited their needs and preferences.
Yato's all-black room features an all-black couch, a flat-screen TV, multiple shelves filled with his books, and, in addition, a spacious, all-black bathroom.
