Chapter 42: That's A Bad Crowd

(NO POV/Kurosaki Household)

Inside the Kurosaki household, Ichigo could be seen sleeping peacefully in his bed. In his dream, he encountered a mysterious figure named Kugo Ginjo, who handed him a card that would allow him to contact him whenever he wished.

Suddenly, Ichigo was jolted awake by the blaring of his alarm. Rubbing the sleep from his eyes, he noticed the sounds of chatter drifting from downstairs, accompanied by an enticing aroma wafting through the air. Curious and slightly hungry, he decided to follow the delightful scent.

As he descended the stairs, Ichigo found his sisters and father gathered around the dinner table, which was brimming with an impressive spread of delicious-looking food. The sight alone was enough to make his stomach growl in anticipation.

"Oh, morning there, Ichigo!" Yuzu called out, her face lighting up as she noticed her elder brother had finally woken up.

"Morning, you guys... Did you really make all of this?" Ichigo asked, his eyes widening at the array of dishes laid out before him. The table was filled with everything from fluffy pancakes and sizzling bacon to fresh fruits and steaming rice.

Just then, Ichigo felt a hand on his shoulder, and his eyes went wide in surprise.

"Rise up this morning, smiled with the rising sun, three little birds pitched by my doorstep, singing sweet songs of melodies pure!" a familiar voice sang out, filling the room with cheerful energy.

Ichigo turned to see his older brother, Yato Kurosaki standing right in front of him.

"Hey there Ichgio, I was gonna wake you up by pranking you but I decided to let you sleep in. How have you been?" Yato asked his little brother.

"Y-Yeah I'm fine just a bit surprised to see you. You... made all of this?" Ichgio asked, taking a moment to process the scene.

Yato grinned, clearly pleased with himself. "Of course! Thought I'd whip up something special to kickstart your day. You're a growing boy who needs his protein to grow big and strong," he said, noticing the mix of emotions on Ichigo's face.

"Thanks for the breakfast, Yato, but I still got to ask—where have you been?" Karin chimed in, crossing her arms.

"Oh, me? I've been hanging out with a very special woman," Yato replied, a mischievous glint in his eyes.

"What, is she your girlfriend?" Yuzu asked, walking over and placing a plate of pancakes in front of her.

"Well, you could say she's more than that, little sister," Yato said, playfully ruffling Yuzu's hair as he sat down in a chair.

"Still, with both you and Karin growing up, I've got to remind these boys to stay away from my little sisters," Yato said, a protective tone creeping into his voice. Even though he was gone from time to time, his fierce protectiveness for each of his siblings was clear. If anything were to happen to any of them, or if someone dared to mess with one of them, that person would certainly feel his wrath.

"Besides that, could you at least describe her to us?" Karin asked, her curiosity piqued as she leaned forward.

"Well, she is a slender and very youthful woman with striking blue eyes and long black hair. You could say she's basically the kind of woman who could be a supermodel. Believe it or not, she's older than me, which I don't really care about since younger women aren't my type. She has a gentle and warm personality; she's soft-spoken, beyond loyal, and incredibly polite. She genuinely cares about everyone as long as you don't get on her bad side, though." Yato chuckled lightly, a fond smile creeping onto his face.

"Still, I love her even with all her flaws because no one is perfect. She loves me, and I love her," Yato said, his expression softening as he spoke.

Karin and Yuzu exchanged glances, both a bit surprised by the depth of Yato's feelings. "Wow, it sounds like you really mean it," Yuzu said, her eyes wide with admiration.
