It was now the morning, and a cloaked figure was walking down the road. The figure stopped and looked up at a sign that indicated Karakura Town was three miles away.
The cloaked figure resumed walking, heading towards a gas station that was coming up in the next mile. The figure continued walking, showing no sign of concern about the long walk, until eventually arriving at the gas station.
The cloaked figure went to the back of the gas station and picked out some snacks, feeling quite hungry.
Suddenly, a gun was cocked, and a voice yelled, "I am only gonna say this once: put all the money in the bag!!" The robber's voice was tense and commanding.
The cloaked figure approached the cash register with a few bags of chips and a whole gallon of water.
"I would like to pay for all of this," the cloaked figure said calmly.
"You as well give me all your money!" the robber shouted, aiming his gun at the cloaked figure.
"How much does this all add up to? I am pretty sure I have enough for it all," the cloaked figure said, ignoring the robber.
"S-Sir, are you serious? I am being robbed right now!" the cashier exclaimed, clearly panicked.
"Really, I actually feel like I am being robbed by these prices, but I do like the price of these chips," the cloaked figure replied.
"Didn't you hear what I said? Give me all your money!!" the robber demanded.
The cloaked figure sighed. "If you're not gonna pull the trigger, then pull it. If not, shut the hell up and leave," the figure said.
"You bastard!!" the robber yelled as he pulled the trigger of the gun. The shot echoed throughout the gas station, but nothing happened—the bullet didn't connect.
"What the?" the robber muttered, bewildered. He pulled the trigger again, but the same thing occurred; the bullet simply disappeared. The cloaked figure remained unfazed.
"What the hell is going on?!" the robber shouted, pulling the trigger multiple times with the same result. The robber had only one more bullet left in the gun.
"Damn you! How about this?!" the robber shouted, getting up close to the cloaked figure, aiming directly at his face.
"I know if I shoot right here, close up then your done for!!" the robber yelled.
"Well, pull the trigger," the cloaked figure said calmly.
The robber pulled the trigger one last time, but again, nothing happened. The cloaked figure then disappeared and reappeared behind the robber, placing a hand on his shoulder.
"I think these belong to you," the cloaked figure said, dropping the fired bullets at the robber's feet. The robber quickly jumped back and attempted to punch the cloaked figure, getting into a fighting stance.
"I don't think you'll won't be able to do anything with your hands like that," the cloaked figure said, pointing at the robber's hands.
The robber looked at his hands and saw they were broken.
The robber cried out in pain, his body overwhelmed by the agony of having both hands broken.
He eventually passed out from the pain. The cloaked figure looked around to see that the cashier had disappeared.
Shrugging, the cloaked figure stretched over the counter, grabbed a bag, and put the food into it. He also grabbed an extra bag and added more food, plus the gallon of water.
The cloaked figure walked out of the gas station.
As a gust of wind blew, the hoodie fell away, revealing Yato Kurosaki a young man in his late twenties with black hair and a lean, muscular figure.
