Cody was sitting with Noah at his desk.

Blaineley didn't care as long as they got their reading done.

Cody was resting his head on his hand and staring at Noah.

Noah was actually reading the book.

No one really seemed to care or notice that Cody was there, except Trent.

Trent isn't sure why, but he's glad if Cody's making a new friend.

After reading for a few minutes, Noah let out a yawn. He passed Cody the book and passed out.

Cody smiled at him.

He had an urge to pet Noah, but wasn't sure if the other would let him.

He slowly brought his hand to Noah's hair and pet him hesitantly.

It didn't seem to bother Noah, so Cody started to pet him normally.

His hair was pretty soft. Cody thought that made sense.

Noah then started purring quietly.

Cody widened his eyes and stared at him in disbelief.

Oh, right... he is a cat after all.

He did think it was kind of weird since Noah looked like a human now, but shrugged it off and continued petting him.

Justin glanced at them and noticed.

"All right. Is everyone done reading?" Blaineley asked.

Noah woke up from her voice and sat back up.

Most of the students said yes.

"Okay. I'm going to pass out the new worksheet." She said before doing that.

"Aw, this looks hard..." Cody whined.

Noah looked at him.

"Hey, Cody!" Trent called as he walked over. "Wanna work on it together after school?"

"Yeah! I definitely do!" Cody agreed.

Noah frowned a bit.

"Great. We can go to my house." Trent told him before walking back to his desk.

Cody smiled at him before turning back to Noah, who went back to sleep.

"Cody." Justin whispered.

Cody looked at him.

"Why don't you and Trent join us?" Justin asked quietly, motioning himself, Noah and Lindsay.

"Really? That sounds like lots of fun!" Cody agreed.

When school was over, Cody and Trent followed Justin, Lindsay and Noah out of class.

"So, whose house are we going to?" Trent asked, earning a shrug from Cody.

The trio they were following went to the cafeteria, confusing the other two.

"You guys are hungry?" Trent wondered.

"Chef always hands out the leftovers after school so nothing rots." Justin told them.

"Rot?" Cody repeated.

As they got there, they noticed some other students there too.

Chef was handing out whatever food was left.

He noticed the group. "Justin! I saved something for you." Chef handed him a big bowl full of meat. "I hope you can forgive me for my mistake earlier..."
