The new life of Jimin and Jungkook went on without major dramas. Six months slipped away like whispers in the wind, each day blending into the next until time itself seemed to vanish in a cascade of fleeting moments. For the whole six months, Jimin tried his best not to upset the elder. So, whenever Jungkook was home, he tried his best to stay away from him as much as possible. But, as a husband, from the tiniest thing to the biggest, Jimin fulfilled every need and want of Jungkook. Like the elder wanted, Jimin became the personal maid of Jeon Jungkook. Waking up to cook meals, cleaning the house and the garden, doing laundry, grocery shopping and making meals again for dinner were among the daily chores Jimin did so happily. Jimin considered himself to be so lucky to have his Kookie hyung as his husband even though he never get complemented by him. Forget the complements. Jungkook hardly noticed the younger most of the times. The yummy food Jungkook received for every meal and the little good mornings and good nights hummed in silence were the only kind of interactions happened between the two. Whenever they two met at home, they were precautious not to make eye contact. It's not like that Jungkook did it purposely, but he couldn't help because he was drowning with loads of work at his company. On days when he got late to come home, he found a sleeping Jimin on a sofa in the living. He knew very well that the younger would wait until he comes home. Jungkook knew that Jimin never takes his meals until he arrives. He understood the special care and sacrifice of the younger, but some other businesses always clouded in his mind.
On the other hand, Jimin led a very much solitary life. The frequent visits of Mr. Jeon enlightened the boy's mood, yet he regretted those visits the most when Mr. Jeon left. He always had to tell lies after lies to pretend Mr. Jeon that Jungkook and him were happy in their own bubble. Mr. Jeon spent hours with Jimin working in the garden or doing grocery shopping. They too were the comfort zones of each other.
As the days turned into months, Jimin began to see his husband beyond his harsh exterior. From what Mr. Jeon shared about Jungkook's childhood, Jimin realized the real innocent self hidden under the mask of rudeness Jungkook was wearing. Also it was more like Jimin's heart has been changed for some unknown reason. Glimpses he stole from his husband, the longing desire for him to be taken care of or to be cherished ignited something within Jimin. A spark of curiosity, then compassion and finally, agaisnt all logic, love! Jimin found himself yearning to understand the man behind the mask of rudeness, to reach the heart that had been hardened by years due to loneliness and the feeling of being left out.
Jimin loved his husband quietly, from a distance, his affection unfurling like a shy blossom in the shadows. He found himself dreaming of the day when his defenses might crumble, even just a little, and Jungkook would see him not as a burden or an adversary, but as a partner, someone who cared deeply for him despite his flaws.
In Jungkook's case, he remained unaware, moving through the same rough edges, oblivious to the tides of emotions that now stirred within Jimin.

Jimin's POVIt was 30 minutes past 11 at night, and Kookie hyung did not show up. I prepared him dinner and waited so long, but he didn't come. I know that he has many works there, but he should think about himself as well. No doubt, he is the real son of Papa because Papa too did the same until he fell sick. I don't want to see hyung in the same way as well. I desperately wanted to contact him and ask whether he was okay or not, but I still don't have his number. It's been six months we married, but I don't even have his number. Pathetic, right? It's like, I was too afraid to ask and he was too arrogant to give me the number. I cannot contact Papa and ask because he might suspect our relationship. I was dying to see my hyung show up, but he did not come.
After another 45 minutes, which felt like an eternity, I heard his car approaching. I ran towards the main door and waited for him. He entered the house with messy hair, loosened tie, and two, three buttons of his shirt were also opened. No matter how late he would be, hyung never comes home like this. I looked up at him surprised. Suddenly I noticed that his eyes looked so tired and red.
