3rd Person POV
As the soft rays of the morning sun filtered through the curtains, casting a warm glow upon the room, Jimin stirred from his slumber. He blinked sleepily, his mind slowly rousing from the depths of dreams.
Memories from the previous night flooded back to him with startling clarity. The tension that had simmered between them, thick and palpable, as Jungkook stumbled through the door, his breath heavy with the scent of alcohol. The way his eyes had softened, momentarily free from the haze of intoxication, when they had locked gazes in the dimly lit kitchen. And then, that kiss... a collision of emotions, fueled by frustration, desire, and a longing that had long been buried beneath the surface of their marriage.
Jimin slowly stood up and made his way up to his husband's room to check on him. It was the habit of the elder not to lock his room, so Jimin slowly entered the room and sat on Jungkook's bed. Jungkook was in a deep sleep. His features were relaxed in sleep, his face softened by the morning light.
Glancing over at Jungkook, Jimin couldn't help but wonder if he would remember what had transpired between them. Would he recall the raw intensity of their encounter in the kitchen, or would it be lost in the fog of his drunken haze? For a moment, Jimin hesitated, unsure of what to expect. Would he awaken with a sense of regret, or would he pretend as though nothing had happened at all? The uncertainty gnawed at him, leaving his heart heavy with anticipation and apprehension.
As he watched him sleep, his features softened in the morning light, Jimin couldn't shake the feeling of vulnerability that lingered between them. Whatever had sparked between them last night—whether it was fueled by frustration, desire, or something deeper—remained a silent question hanging in the air, waiting to be addressed.
And as Jimin lay there, grappling with his own conflicted emotions, he couldn't help but wonder what the dawn would bring—whether it would offer a chance for reconciliation and understanding, or simply mark the beginning of another day in their rather unusual marriage.
Part of Jimin yearned for Jungkook to wake up, to acknowledge the intensity of their shared kiss and the emotions that had surged between them. He longed for reassurance that what had transpired wasn't merely a fleeting moment of passion, but a glimpse of something deeper—a flicker of the connection they had once shared, buried beneath the weight of their strained relationship.
But another part of him feared the consequences of his awakening. Would he remember their kiss with the same fervor and intensity, or would it be dismissed as nothing more than a drunken mistake? The uncertainty gnawed at him, leaving his heart heavy with apprehension.
Despite the uncertainty that clouded his thoughts, Jimin couldn't deny the flicker of hope that lingered within him. Perhaps, just perhaps, last night's kiss was a catalyst—a small, yet significant step towards bridging the chasm that had widened between them.
"Hyung..." he murmured, reaching out to gently brush a lock of hair from his forehead. "Do you remember last night? Say yes hyung, I am afraid that you would wake up as if nothing happened."
His voice trembled slightly as he continued, his gaze searching his sleeping face for any sign of recognition. "We shared a moment, hyung..a.. kiss.. a kiss that ignited a fire within me, a longing that I've buried deep within my heart for so long."
His words hung in the air, heavy with uncertainty and hope. "I don't know if you'll remember, or if you'll wake with regret", he admitted, his voice barely above a whisper. "But I can't shake the feeling that what happened between us was more than just a drunken mistake. It was a glimpse of something real, something worth fighting for."
