Chapter 14

3rd person POV

The following day, James and Amalia were having breakfast in their bedroom and discussing with their 2 sons about the attack and were looking for another home as they didn't want Emery to go back and have anxiety and be scared of her home and not feel safe.

James and Amalia were doing home hunting after James finished work and his meeting and in the evening, Emery spent time with her nonno and nonna who flew back because of the attack that happened in their sons and their home. Emery and her nonno were playing a book game, while her nonna was making dinner and Emery began getting tired and was cuddling her nonno on the sofa while he was reading a book aloud. James and Amalia and their 2 sons: Luciano and Adriano came home at 7:30pm just in time for dinner and were waiting to superise Emery about the new house that they just bought. James sighed softly as he saw Emery slowly dozing off on her nonno's lap. Emery opened her eyes little bit and saw her mama and just nuzzled her head further into her nonno's stomach. Her nonno quietly said "Mi amore, come on your mama and papas home you can go to bed and get some sleep for tomorrow BBQ with all your cousins!"
Emery just nodded her head tiredly, while her papa grasped her from her nonna's hold and cradled her like a newborn baby. Adriano came back form the kitchen and screamed "EMERYYY BABYYYY WE GOT A HOUSE WOOOHOOO" and Emery jumped in her sleep and just nuzzled her head into her papas neck- while Adriano got a smack at the back of his head by his mama and Luciano. Luciano and Adriano both got glared by their papa and mama and they both ran to the kitchen to their nonna.

After James put Emery to bed, he came back downstairs to the dining room to eat dinner with everyone else. James told his parents about the new house that they just went to buy and mentioned that the house renovation will take 3 days the most so they have to start packing their clothes and everything in their warehouse home. After dinner finished, everyone quietly resided to their room and went to bed early to get ready for the next morning as they have a family BBQ party for lunch.

James and Amalia went to bed and both got ready for bed, however James all of a sudden could see a red dot on Isabella's head as he cradled her slightly closer to himself. James's frantically rolled of her bed, with a strong grasp on his daughter who was held against her chest and he screamed and shouted for Amalia to stay in the bathroom and get the guns. The shooting begun, bullets firing in the room and glass shattering and falling- James, Amalia and crying Emery ran through the secret tunnel alongside Luciano, Adriano and James's parents. James all got them into the car and drove off to the other base and called for an emergency mafia meeting- which includes all mafia leaders across the whole world to come together and stop attacks. James and the rest of the family were all just trying to get their head wrapped round the fact that Isabella was on the brink of dying if James didn't save her and rolled down the bed. Emery was crying and hyperventilating from the chaos and the shoot out she had blood trickling from her forehead and eye lid- which happened from the glasses cutting her. Also, James's, his sons, and James's father all had weapons and ammunition on them as well as James's mother. James provided everyone with a bulletproof vest incase of another attack while they were waiting for all the mafia leaders to meet up in the building.

7 hours later...

All mafia leaders were all there in the building, the casino meeting board room and they were horrified to see James and his whole family with weapon and with bulletproof vest- however they all went to business with starting off with whose behind the shooting.
By the end of the meeting, Amalia and her sons were distraught with her sons when they discovered that her abusive ex husband who is the sperm doner of her 3 children his brother is attacking James as revenge. Luciano was always cool and calm like James, however Adriano has always had a bad and hot temper and Adriano stormed out of the meeting room and broke everything in his sight which shook Emery. Additionally, all the mafia leaders made a pack that Amalia's ex husbands brother is their target and will be killed on sight.
