"Bhanumati." Panchali called, entering the kitchen, with Malini following her.
"Yes Panchali." Bhanumati replied, stirring the dessert for the dinner.
"Is the dinner prepared?" She asked, while the new mother nodded.
"Everything is ready, just this carrot pudding needs to stir for some more time before serving."
Panchali exchanged a glance with Malini, before dismissing her, "You go and see the arrangement in the dining for the dinner. I'll handle the pudding."
Not knowing the exact reason behind the sudden offer, Bhanumati couldn't help but smile, feeling a sense of gratitude.
"Thank you so much, Panchali. I was actually wondering how to do everything all alone, as it's almost time for dinner. Thank you for your help."
With a last grateful glance at Panchali, she went out of the kitchen towards the dining.
Turning to the other maids and servants, Panchali dismissed them too, "Princess Bhanumati won't be able to handle everything alone there, you all go and help her out."
"And yes, take the other dishes also with you." She added, and they worked on taking the main courses to the dining.
The kitchen fell into a deep silence, when Malini pulled out a small bowl of a liquid and some herbs, that she had hidden well under her pallu.
Panchali's demeanor suddenly changed looking at those ingredients.
"Are you sure these herbs will work?" She asked.
"Rest assured, Yuvrani." Malini ensured. "These herbs are the high dose of sleeping medicine."
"Good. Ground it properly." She instructed stirring the carrot pudding, and Malini worked immediately.
"Here it is, Yuvrani." Panchali side glanced at the paste now, after a few moments of grounding the herbs well.
She took it and poured the entire of the paste into the dessert. A glint of ploy for the night danced before her vision.
With the help of the spatula, she stirred the drug efficiently leaving no trace of suspicion.
"Pass me a bowl."
Malini took an empty bowl from the side, which Panchali took and served some of the pudding.
"Where is the other medicine?" She asked, forwarding her hand.
Malini handed over the small bowl of a greenish liquid, that had a light texture unlike the drug before.
Mixing the liquid properly, Panchali made it look like a normal dessert.
