Panchali fell on the knees finally not being able to hold back anymore. The dam of tears broke out lastly.

The familiar walls of the piano hall witnessed her breaking down into tears.

"History finally repeated, Mumma. History finally repeated..." She cried hysterically.

Taking Neha's photo, she clutched it to her chest, "I once again failed, Mumma."

Her chest was paining feeling the betrayal, as if someone was stabbing her heart mercilessly.

Wiping the tears away harshly from her face, she spoke to her mother's photo, "I was so confident that my marriage won't be like yours. Now see what happened."

She licked her dried up lips, "But maybe I was over confident and that's why it's hurting me now..."

As she trailed off, fresh tears poured out, "It's hurting, Mumma. It's really hurting."

The sharpness of the knot cloaked her throat, making it difficult for her to gulp down the lump.

"I don't know why but the thought that they were betraying me all this time is hurting me more."

She always hated the one who went against her, or betrayed her but this time she couldn't come to hate them.

Even if she wanted, the hatred wasn't coming for Bheem.

"You have always inspired me to stay strong. You have been my idol, Mumma. I always wanted to be like you. Good in studies, strong both mentally and physically." She paused, recalling her childhood.

"But there was one thing that I never wanted. It was a husband like yours, Mumma. This was one thing I despised my entire life." Her memory lane was taken back to 15 years ago.

"First Mr. Rathore cheated Maasi with you, and then after your marriage, he again cheated on you with his secretary. He was never loyal to anyone, nor to his own family." She wiped her tears and looked at the photo.

"After seven months of neglecting them, and watching their patience and dedication towards our marriage, I thought that even if I am having five spouses my relationship will work out." She paused for a moment, as some moments flashed in her mind.

"This almost two months after my acceptance... I mean, everything seemed to be in pure bliss recently. Things started to be more colourful for me. I started to enjoy my life, I was smiling all the time. Then... what went wrong, Mumma?"

She was still smiling recalling all those moments of joy but at last the look of grimness dawned upon her.

"I kept my entire trust over them. Was that only to be crushed under their feet? Am I that worthless to be used just for a momentary time?" She questioned her value, while drops of tears just trailed down.

"You know Mumma, this morning when Nakul and Arjun urged me to wear colourful clothes, I almost agreed to them. It's... It's like... I don't know what to say but after all this time..." She choked in her tears and broke down again.

"This... This was what I was feared about from the beginning. The fear of attachment... The fear of trusting someone again..." Her agonizing cries echoed in the empty hall.

Her body shook, as her face reflected the agonizing feeling that she felt.

"Please..." The familiar voice of Bheem pleaded to her from outside, as she stopped crying for a moment.

Her each and every word, her tears, her mild hiccups everything was piercing their heart like a sharp dagger.

They had followed her till there, but it was the hall where she had prohibited everyone from entering. Including them.
