Chapter 13

One year later.......

I am 17 years old. Almost an adult. I hurry out of bed as soon as I wake. With only an apple in my hand. Storm Runs up to me. Her tail wagging happily. "Hi girl!" I say happily. "Today we are going to venture out into the real world. I need to see what's happening. Meet up with Emma again, and plan for my own war." Storm's tail wags harder. I laugh, as she follows me to where i think the horses are. They are. Hermosa looks at me. I smile at her. But it drops when i see her eyes. There is spirit there. But- shes dying. Tears fill my eyes. "You will live to see the sun again, Hermosa." i say. Then leaving her, i walk over to Ember. Quickly putting on a makeshift bridle. Along with the really old saddle. I sigh. "I am gonna need a new Saddle soon." Ember snorts. And trots in place. I mount her and call out to Storm. "Come on! We are gonna be gone all day." Ember sets of at a Canter, but i slow her to a Jog. she moves faster and lock her in at a Lope. She snorts again but keeps that steady pace.

Storm keeps up well. When we reach the other side of the cave, I feel along the wall. For the crack i sealed a few years ago. "My times flown." I mutter when I find it. "Here we go!" i break open the wall. Just to see green. I am confused for a moment, then i remember when i had came back after seeing Emma i had 'dropped' some vine seeds here. To hide the wall. Perfect. I lead Ember though and storm follows. The vines fall back into place perfectly. No one could tell that there was a hole there. Mounting Ember, i have her at a lope though the woods. And i think about what i wrote yesterday in my little almost full book.

Dear Book.

I do not know what to really write about today. But since Emma told me to write everyday that's what I will do. I think I will tell you about my day. This morning I woke up to not puppies anymore licking me like crazy. Along with the new batch of pups. Riley and Bell had a litter of two, and Butterfly and Wish had 5! 5 puppies! And the worst thing is..... Dot, Dash, and Dart are teaching them how to play hide and seek. Now they know how to hide when it's training time! There names are-

Mia, Rover, Anne, Oceania, and Cracker. I do not know why I named one Cracker. Cracker and Rover are males. And the rest are females. Mia and Anne are a very good team. If I ever give them away, I will make sure they stay with me or go together. I would not want to separate them. After that I ate an apple and some fresh carrots. The dogs got there normal. Icky raw meat. Bla. Hermosa looked a little tired. And I am getting really worried, I hope she is ok. I would not want her to die so close to the end of the war. nevermind. I take that back. This war is far from over. Ava and Percy have no idea I am planning to kill them both. I will be the leader. Or Emma. I hope Sol is okay. I have not seen her in forever. I am glad she warned me of Percy. Or that could have ended badly for them both. Me thinking she was working with them, and- Ohhhhh, right. Percy is dead. Wow. I forgot that. Silly me. I wonder who took over for Percy. You would think Ava would and then she would win the long long war and bla bla bla. Then I would pop out of nowhere and rid the world from her. Or in an understanding way, Kill her. Maybe that guy who used to own Sugar is the leader. I hope not. Nothing makes a person more dangerous and deadly when they have a good reason. Oops, it's really late. I better get some sleep. If i have time i will write tomorrow. Night.

I pulled Ember up short. "Whoa" I said. Calming her. I dismount and knock on Emma's door. It opens. And I say- "Hello?" i fist shoots out, almost punching me in the nose. I snatch the hand, yank it down and start twisting. "Ow Ow ow!" cries a voice. "Oh my dog! I am so so sorry Emma!" I say, worried. I release her arm. She steps outside. "Oh no dear, don't be sorry. I was trying to see if you were an ok fighter. You are a pretty good one. And I killed Ava." my mouth dropped open. "Really? Good! I killed percy a while back," Emma flinches. "Ray, I lead Rivers side. And that man who 'lost' a horse to a girl, leads Maxs." I sigh. "Um," Emma looks at me with a small smile. "I May have taken Sugar awhile back. He was not a good horse ower. She was not brushed, and her stall was not cleaned out." Emma sighs this time. "Very well Ray. It's up to you to Kill Him. and tame Max's side. Not me. I have already taken care of River's." I nod. "Fair, i am planning a timing when I shall jump into this war, I will be on your side Emma."

I quietly brush Ember. She breathes softly beside me. Storm lays at my feet. "Do you guys ever think we might die in this war? Ever think that one of us are killed? Would that be horrible. I feel terrified just thinking about it. What is it is my fault that one of us all die? I would never forgive myself." i finish brushing Ember, give the dogs there dinner. Clean the old old tack. And go to bed with the hurtful thoughts on my mind.
