You just want the power, You're not really down for love

Monday, November the 24th, 12:05pm

The school cafeteria was a lot quieter than usual, I sat alone as Jiseok was in a classroom catching up on his classwork while Hyungjun was busy with something student council related. The chopsticks in my hand picked at the katsu and rice on my tray as I had no appetite as well as a strange feeling in my stomach. The few people that were around tended to look at me every now and then, mostly girls with eye rolls and gritted teeth, I of course stared back, I was annoyed at all these people looking at me. I pick up my things slowly until someone reaches across to me and pulls me back down on the chair by my wrist.

I snapped my head up to look at the owner of the hard grip on my wrist and my eyes widened. "Hey sweetheart, sit, I'd like to have a quick chat okay?" I haven't received any letters or seen this man since the forest party, and here he sat in front of me with a tray of his own food in front of him. An itching, painful feeling begins to rise in the back of my throat. I opened my mouth to speak but that's when I could feel hot tears brimming in my eyes, instead he spoke again, "I hope your break wasn't too lonely, but now that you've been released I can finally begin."

Nothing could prepare me for what was about to happen, a few awkward seconds of silence passed until a sound erupted from the intercom, "Lee Jooyeon to the student council office please." My head turned slowly towards the sound of a quiet chuckle, the male ate his food slowly and his chuckles turned into laughter as he looked up at me, his dark eyes staring into mine. I finally snapped myself out of my thoughts once more and began to walk, then fast walk, then jog out of the cafeteria to the student council office.

12:10pm, Location: Student Council Office

"But ma'am, why is this happening? I RAN FOR PRESIDENT AND I EARNED MY POSITION!?" I could hear Jungsu yell from outside the open door I nervously stood in. I noticed the principle, Jungsu, Hyungjun and the rest of the council members were seated and stood in the large room, a major tension filled it as Mrs. Jeon did her best to calm the black haired boy down. "Mr. Lee? Come in please, I have something important to tell you." All heads turned towards me and eyes were burning through me, I slowly fully stepped into the room, looking at the ground.

"Y-Yes Mrs. Jeon, what is this about?" I managed to stutter out, my eyes met with Hyungjuns, a look of guilt in his and the woman spoke again, "Why don't you come sit over here and I can tell you," she motioned to one of the many chairs that surrounded a large, oval shaped table as she sat down I shuffled towards a seat next to her but without notice, my shoulder accidentally brushes against Kim Jungsus, an unfamiliar, fiery look in his eyes. If he didn't like me before he definitely didn't now. And I was about to find out why.

"I know we have been on a rocky start so far, but due to an unexpected circumstance, I must announce to you something, it will be a very good opportunity for you as it is your first year and this will also help you in your later careers," the woman clears her throat, a thousand thoughts ran through my head, it felt like something or someone was constantly hitting it. "I hope you will all get along," she says looking at everyone else in the room then looking back at me, "Mr. Lee and Mr. Oh will officially become your new student council presidents!" Everyone gasped and began to talk over each other, Jungsu could be heard storming out of the room, brushing past him.

But that meant? Hyungjun was also stripped from his position. A hand was placed on my shoulder as I still tried to register what had came out of Mrs. Jeons mouth. "I appreciate this opportunity Mrs. I'm more than glad to be able to work alongside Jooyeon to help make this school a better place." The taller male says, stepping towards us, a hand on his chest as he spoke with seemingly heartfelt words. But I knew the truth. And I knew what else this meant, I had to spend the rest of the year with this lunatic, planning parties, events, managing clubs, and other important school incentives. It was going to be a new, excruciating type of experience.
