He hurt me but it felt like true love
Saturday, November 9th 9:10am
"I thought I told you to be ready by 9, hurry up we need to go." Seungmin scoffs as he leans against my doorway, I groan and walk into my bathroom to brush my teeth quickly, change into casual clothes and brush my hair into a ponytail. I ruffle my bangs a bit as I walk out, "That took 7 minutes, let's go." I just roll my eyes and pick up my small bag and pull it over my shoulder, following the older male out of my room and closing the door behind me. Despite it being early morning on a Saturday, there were a number of Atrovirens students roaming the halls, sitting by the windows, all of them were definitely looking at us walking through the halls.
I could hear them whispering but I chose to ignore it, I was already used to being a hot topic at this school. But I can't help but let a few words hit me.
"Isn't he dating Han Hyungjun? What's he doing with Oh Seungmin?"
"They're student body presidents now, remember? I feel bad for the council"
"I still don't know how he goes to school here, I think he's poor"
I snap my head around and with a loud voice I say, "Can you all just leave me alone and mind your fucking business? Get a damn life." They all widen their eyes at my outburst but luckily turn away from us, the awkward silence is filled with a sudden burst of laughter that I knew so well. I brush past him, speed walking out of the dormitory as quick as I can with the blonde male close behind, by this point I let him guide us out of the west wing court to the main one, where the only exit to the school was. The big black fence doors slowly swung open and a limo was parked in front of it.
Surprisingly, the door is opened for me, a hand gesturing me to get inside, "I can open the door myself, I know how," I squint my eyes at the man smirking at me, "Get in then dummy, we don't have all day," He scoffs and pushed me inside, I fall on the leather seats and the open door is slammed closed. "I'll be taking you both to the city nearby, it's as far as we can do but I'm sure you will find what you need there." The driver, an older man says and I nod my head as his words and stare out the window. The limo turns on and starts pulling away, I feel a strange exhaustion take over me and my eyes slowly shut, the sound of the engine has lulled me to sleep.
November 9th, 10:00am
'My eyes suddenly shot open, I could feel the sensation of wet grass bleeding through my clothing. Where was I? What was I wearing? Automatically, I sit up quickly and see that I'm sitting on the ground somewhere, surrounded by nothing but trees. Panicked, I scramble to my feet, grabbing my shivering arms as Ilift my feet to start walking in hopes of finding an exit of what seemed like a forest. I walked for what felt like hours, and I remained in the same spot as I woke up but then, a voice in the distance could be heard, it was getting closer and closer. Jooyeon, you shouldn't be here, you don't belong here.'
"Jooyeon"
"Jooyeon wake up"
"We're here, wake the hell up"
I gasp, about to flail my arms but they're grabbed, my vision clearer I'm face to face with the man that held me. "What the hell was that? Stop dreaming Joo, we're here." His hands let go of me and pulled me out of the limo. I was asleep the entire ride, I never realized how far the campus was from other human filled environments.Looking around, surrounding us were multiple stores, a couple cars drove by in the small streets, but it seemed like we were in a small town just outside any city that could've been near. I notice the older had walked into what seemed like a decoration store, I snap back into reality and jog towards the same store, cursing under my breath and taking my list out. I had a feeling we would be here for a while.
My feeling was correct, I pulled out my phone and checked the time that read, 6:55 pm and groaned loudly. We had spent countless hours looking through decor, placing orders that should arrive at campus, eventually we had to eat lunch and dinner together which was a blast (I didn't pay for it). The good thing was I managed to push us to get everything and more of what we needed, I didn't want to have to go out again for anything. Here we stood in the west court, the outdoor lamps were on as the sun was set at this time. Slowly little white snowflakes were falling out of the sky, the air wasn't cold but it will be tomorrow morning. "Fuck this snow, I'm going home, see ya." the male waves his hand behind him, placing his hands in his sweatshirt pockets and heads towards hs own respective dormitory.
I watch him leave until he reaches the entrance of the Vacuous dorm and walks in. I was the only person outside, I knew I probably should go inside but I decided on staying a little while longer watching the snow slowly pile on the ground. It was silent for a while then my phone vibrated twice, I had messages. The first one I see is from Hyungjun,
'Hey Joo, I've been so busy lately, but I hope I can see you and we can hang out soon but have a good night xx'
I smile but wonder, what could he be doing lately? I try to shake that thought off and check my other message, from an unknown number. That strange feeling rose inside the pit of my stomach, I only had 4 numbers on my phone, the only ones I ever gave my number to. It was an area number that said,
'I enjoyed bothering you today, you eat ugly too, see you on Monday loser."
