I know I'm the one holding your breath

Monday November 3rd 11:32am, Location: JYP Academy principal office

"Mr. Lee, I'm sure you know why I called you down here, but I hope you're feeling better now." The principle, Mrs. Jeon says, her thin glasses perched on her small nose as she stares into my soul. I sat uncomfortably on a small black chair in front of her big brown desk. Her office was also extremely cold but it seemed like I was the only one who noticed.
"Yes I do know and I'll be honest, I'm not sure what I can tell you." There was no way I'd have any type of useful information, I hardly remembered that day at all. "That's what you think, but anything counts, I refuse to have any form of disturbance in my school Jooyeon," I try not to gulp too loud but her use of words made me question. How were certain students allowed to do what they wanted and it wasn't a big deal but this was? "All I can remember is drinking a pretty looking liquid I got at an empty booth, I filled it more than half and drank the whole thing in one sip, I was incredibly thirsty considering my date had left me, you understand right?"

She only glared at me momentarily before dismissing me. Gathering my bag and fixing my sweater, I turned the doorknob and saw my boyfriend waiting for me. "They couldn't have waited another day, you're still recovering," he says as I link my arm with his and hold it tightly. "She said she wants to find the disturbance as quick as possible, she's afraid it's going to taint her perfect school," I was immensely bothered by all the students that stared at us as we walked through the large hallway. I wasn't even sure If I wanted to go back to class, I was in the middle of a test until a student council member I didn't recognize told me I needed to go to the office. "Hey Junhan, I think I'll go to my next class, but I'll drop you off okay?" The slighter taller male nodded his head and I didn't miss the small look of worry on his face.

I held my breath as we entered the building with classes only for Vermillion and Vantablack students. It was the same results, eyes followed us wherever we went, but these ones weren't afraid to show their real emotions. The 5 minute walk to Junhans advanced math class felt a lot longer than it should. "Please be safe Joo, I'll see you later," he says and I look around to spot a familiar pair of students looking in our direction but without thought I pull him in by the back of his neck and place my lips softly against his. The kiss only lasted a few seconds but It felt nice, we both pulled away with a blush adorned on the other male's face as he scratched the back of his neck. He gave me one last smile before walking into the classroom so I turned my heel and began to walk out the largest building to where I was spending the next hour.

Only a few minutes later, Location: Main Track Bleachers

I was grateful there were little to no students outside at the moment, the ones that were here minded their own business just as I was. I appreciated the moments of silence I had and pulled my hair into a low ponytail. I must have begun to space out because I didn't hear or see someone sitting next to me. "Hey Jooyeon, I gotta question for you friend," Koo Gunil? He was weirdly sitting close to me, back hunched over and his elbows resting on his thighs. What would he want from me? I had an idea who sent him here. "Look I don't mean to be rude, but I'd rather be alone right now." And it was the truth! The day was going by painfully slowly and it was much colder than usual. "I'm gonna ask my question kid, are you and that emo guy really dating?" "Yes we are, I answered your question now," I motioned to him to leave, as I was becoming impatient, "Listen I'm not the one who cares but just want to let you know to watch out for the guy eh? He's kind of weird, I'll leave you be now." The man gets up and slowly walks down the concrete steps, I was left with a strange thought in mind.
