Chapter 105 - Family's Trust

Surya woke up with an uneasiness and looked around the room. She had just fallen asleep for over an hour and all of a sudden she started feeling anxious. She grabbed some water to drink but before she could have it she was reminded of how Ajay was off from the evening. Earlier when she saw him standing outside his room, she found him anxious over something which he had denied. Later when they were gathered for dinner, she noticed him being lost not having his food before Yamuna had forced him. She guessed something was really off and deciding to meet him once, she quietly sneaked out of her room without Jaanu's notice.

When she had reached his room she stood outside the door hesitating. She panicked when she heard him yell for his mother and without a second though she ran into the room.

The sight in front shattered her, he was curled up like a fetus. Closing his ears with his palms and closed eyes he kept murmuring for his mother. She moved forward to realize he was shivering and her eyes teared up knowing how much he had suffered from the trauma all these years.

" Amma... amma.. "

Surya wiped her tears and moved to him and held his shoulders.

Surya: Mama.. elunthurunga..

She shook his shoulders but he failed to hear it as he kept calling for his mother.

Surya: mama please elunthurunga.. ena parunga...

She tapped on his cheeks before he got hold of her hand and pulled it down to place it under his cheeks.

Ajay: pogatha amma enna vitu.. enkudaya iru ma..

Surya's eyes spilled a tear and she wiped it before it fell on him. She sat beside his head and caressed his head with her other hand.

Ajay: amma pogatha ma..pogatha ma..  please ma..

Surya: shh.. nan engayum pola Inga tha irukan..

Ajay tightened the hold on her palms and Surya smiled, caressing his hair. At a least expected time he moved to lay on her lap facing away from him with his hand still in his hold. She was straddled at first but seeing him curled like a baby, shivering and seeking his mother nothing seemed wrong or important for her. She kept caressing him until his shivering stopped and again fell asleep in her warmth.

Ajay woke up when he heard the sound of the rain and felt some difference in his pillow. He rubbed his eyes and looked up and found Surya leaning on the headboard with a palm over his hair. He looked down and realizing he was laying on her lap he quickly sat up and moved away a little. He frowned trying to know what happened last night and looked at her with realization.

Surya woke up with the shuffling and noticed him looking away.

Surya: eluthutingala ?

Ajay: hmm.. nee epadi Inga vantha..

Surya sighed: illa neenga nethu evening la irunthu oru mariya irunthinga atha pathutu pola nu vantha.. ana

Ajay: enna bayanthu nadigutu irunthan ah ?

Surya nodded hesitantly.

Ajay: enaku palagiruchu... ana nee yen ingaya ukanthu iruka.. yarachu patha enna agum ?

Surya: neenga apdi iruntha apa enaku vera ethuvum ah yosika thonala atha...

Ajay stared at her for long minute before she looked away disturbed by his gaze.

Ajay: thanks..

Surya: ethuku ?

Ajay: mothal thadava.. antha kanavu vantha apram uh.. bayanthu kathi veetaiya kutama.. yen enthrika kuda seiyama ipa tha thoongi irukan.. Apdi Ella enthricha athuku apram rendu moonu naalaiku thookam ah varathu.. thanks .
