Y/N ran onto the front porch just as Mr. D was gone.

"Percy , de immortales!" She yelled , scowling as she inhaled the fresh-pressed grapes left behind in Mr. D's wake.

Jake and the Neverland pirates──Jake and the Dionysus twins came running behind her , out of breathe and panicked.

The twins looked around the room and then back at Y/N who sighed and wrapped her arms around their shoulders in comfort.

They hugged her and waved at Chiron Grover and Jake before leaving the porch.

Jake shook his head and set his book down next to the pinochle cards, pulled out a chair."Whatever you said Percy, Zeus didn't like it, he struck against my sister."

He turned so that he was looking me dead in the eyes. "I like you , Percy," he started. "But I won't tolerate a single ounce of stupidity from you if it endangers my sister's life."

I would have been offended, if I didn't completely understand where he was coming from.

"Got it."

Chiron smiled at me , but he looked tired and strained.

"Sit Percy , Y/N, Grover."

We did. Y/N taking the chair next to mine.

"Tell me ,Percy," he said." What did you make of the hellhound?"

Just hearing the name made me shudder.

From the corner of my eye I saw
Y/N's face harden.

Chiron probably wanted me to say ,Heck , it was nothing . I eat hellhounds for breakfast. But I didn't feel like lying.

"It scared me," I said." If you hadn't shot it , Y/N would have been dead."

Y/N shifted in her seat with a bitter expression on her face.

"I highly doubt that," Chiron said. "You'll meet worse , Percy. Far worse , before you're done."

"Done . . .with what?"

Jake , who's mood had completely changed , smiled.

"Your quest, of course, Sea boy. Will you accept it?"

I glanced at Grover , who was crossing his fingers and Y/N ,
who just watched me with an expectation look on her face.
