“I think I left my conscious on your front door step. Wait a minute, I think I left my consciousness in a sixth dimension.”

"Ever since emy lover went away
It's been the darkest day,
It's been the darkest day."

A soft tune played in my head like mantra on repeat as my eyes checked the little girls body for any minor injury. She was exhausted naturally from her time as as statue , her brown skin almost gray in colour from the lack of natural hydration. She looked close to death and that's what scared me the most.

Annabeth knelt on her other side examining her hairs molecules, don't know why but she thinks it might help us. And as per usual this is not Grover and Percy's fortay, so they were just standing idly behind us concerned.

We found ourselves in the middle of the blocked two way road, at least twenty feet away from Medusa's pretty cave.

Frogs, crickets and bugs of the night , were the only things that you could hear except for the occasional gust of a fresh wind.

"Whatever - however you did this, do it again," Annabeth instructed, taking my hand and gently resting it on the girls chest. "If you woke her up you can keep her alive too. There's no other way. We don't have a real clue about what's happening to her, so try again."

Inhaling the cool air I focused on the energy in my body and pressed my palm flat against the litter girls chest. A warm feeling lightened my heart and slowly golden energy pulsed through the veins of my right arm seeping down into her skin. Annabeth gasped leaning forward eager to see what would happen.

The her skin soaked in the light energy , radiating a warm sunny golden glow that blinded us for a second before dimming into the soft brown colour of her skin. Life flushed her face and her the curls in her hair no longer frowned they smiled happily as if coming back to life.

When the glow deminished completely I pulled my hand away from her , my eyes stuck the steady rise of her chest and the sound of her strong heart beat.

"She'll be okay," Grover spoke up. "Her heart beat is stronger than before, way stronger, whatever you did, Y/N, it was enough to keep her alive."

Percy who was standing next to Grover looked down at the girl concerned. "But for how long? I mean we don't know much time she's spent as a statue."

Annabeth's brow quirked as she stood , her face contorted in a frown. "It doesn't matter , we have a quest to finish and we've wasted to much time. We have to find a place to leave her."
