I reluctantly opened my eyes to the unpleasant feeling of hunger. I groggily grasped my phone that was sitting on the bedside table beside me and turned it on, clenching my eyes shut at the bright light coming from it. Opening my eyes back, I looked at the time with a yawn.

7:48 PM...

"7:48?!" I yowled out, instantly jumping to my feet.

I rushed to the other side of my room, grabbed proper clothes and quickly dressed. I then had a quick look at myself in my mirror and fixed my hair in a hurry, as I bolted out of my door towards the kitchen. I skidded to a halt in front of a vending machine, getting a quick snack to suppress the roar my stomach was giving me.

I balanced from one foot to the other in slight nervousness while I waited for the slow vending machine to spit out my snack. When it finally did, I grabbed the bag and hurried to the common room.

There I found Sage that was waiting for me. She sat on the couch, staring off into the distance. I guessed she heard me coming in when she turned her head to look in my direction. She chuckled at the sight of me; I must've been in a bad shape.

"I'm so sorry! I was napping and I-"

She raised her hand to signal to me to stop, interrupting me.

"You're fine, it's five minutes earlier than when I asked you to be here," she said as she looked at the clock on the wall, "besides, it isn't that important - I mean, yes it is, but not that much."

I furrowed my brows in confusion. I opened my mouth to say something, but she interrupted me again by telling me to follow her. We went outside, and I guessed that we were headed to The Range, but we actually turned on another path, that was going down the hill that the villa sat on, towards a building that I'd never been told about. I caught up to Sage and asked her the question that was itching in my throat.

"What is that? I've never been told what it was."

"Oh, you'll see when we get there," she calmly said, a grin plastered onto her face.

I tilted my head, but stayed quiet until we, after 25 minutes, were standing before the massive building. Mouth agape, I watched it in awe. It seemed like a giant version of Viper's lab. It was a big establishment with white metal walls and a few industrial wall lights here and there. There were two large grey doors at the end of the dirt path, lit up with pure white lights.

Sage went forward, opened one door and let me through before closing it back up. We arrived in a tight corridor that led towards two sides, the one on the left had a sign written Attackers, and the other had one that read Defenders. She guided me to the second one and opened the door that sat at my left. Unsure, I glanced back at her, but she practically pushed me through. She winked at me before going away, closing the door behind her.

I turned back around and was met with familiar faces. Gekko was standing there accompanied by Brimstone, Phoenix and Raze. I thought that Gekko and Raze were on a mission, but I guess they came back while I was napping. They were looking at me, grinning and Gekko chuckling. All of them were geared up, wearing some type of vests and guns in hands. I must have looked like a lost child, because Brimstone came up to me and put his hand on my shoulder to try and calm me.

"Umm.. W-What's happening? Why am I here?" I asked Brimstone, lost.

He chuckled before answering:

"We actually decided to see how you would do in a team, so we made up two teams of agents to simulate a mission. Sage, Viper and I will be monitoring you."
