🫧 Sequel for lovely runner (2024)
"Is there such a thing as predetermined fate? Like an inevitable fate that we can neither change or defy.."
"If there is, Sol-ah.."
"My fate is..no matter in which time we meet, past, present, or any other, I will...
As Sol followed Sunjae through the winding streets, a sense of nostalgia began to wash over her. The quaint shops, the familiar streets– it all felt like a relic from her past, a place she had not set foot in for years.
"Sunjae-ah, is this.."
Sunjae flashed her a warm smile, his eyes twinkling with a hint of mischief. "You'll see soon enough," he replied cryptically, gently guiding her forward.
The further they walked, the more Sol couldn't shake the feeling that this was not just Sunjae's old stomping ground, but hers as well. The way he navigated the streets with such ease, the way his gaze lingered on certain landmarks – it all suggested a deep, personal connection that they shared.
Suddenly, they rounded a corner, and Sol's breath caught in her throat. There, nestled between a small bakery and a modest clothing store, stood a familiar sign – Ryu Geundok Galbi. The faded letters stirred a memory deep within her, one she had buried long ago, but could never truly forget.

"Sunjae..." she breathed, her eyes widening in realization. "This is..."
Sunjae nodded, his expression soft,"Where my father's restaurant used to be." He paused, reaching out to gently squeeze her hand. "And I want to help him reopen it, right here in our old neighborhood."
Sol stared at him, a wave of emotions crashing over her. Surprise, nostalgia, and a profound admiration for the man she loved – it all washed over her in that moment.
As Sunjae and Sol approached the old Ryu Geundok Galbi restaurant, they were greeted by a flurry of activity. Boxes and furniture were being carried in and out, the sound of bustling workers echoing through the quiet neighborhood.
Sunjae's father, a weathered but kind-looking man, emerged from the doorway, a wide smile spreading across his face as he spotted the young couple.
"Sunjae-ah! Sol-ah!" he exclaimed, his voice brimming with joy as he pulled them both into a warm embrace. "I can't believe you're both here. And look at all this – it's just like old times, isn't it?"
He gestured around the bustling scene, his eyes crinkling with pride. "The restaurant is coming together nicely, thanks to all these hardworking folks. It's been a long time since I've seen this place so alive."
Sunjae beamed, his arm instinctively wrapping around Sol's waist. "It's good to be back, dad. And we're here to help in any way we can."
As the flurry of activity continued around the restaurant, Sunjae's father suddenly disappeared once more, his mind clearly overflowing with ideas to make the grand reopening truly special.
When he reemerged, he was carrying a life-size cardboard cutout of Sunjae, a giddy grin plastered across his face. "Look what I found!" he exclaimed, positioning the cutout right at the entrance, making sure it was the first thing customers would see.
