In the soft glow of the moonlight filtering through the curtains, he could see the subtle shifting of her features, the furrow in her brow that betrayed the turmoil within her slumbering mind. Her lips parted as whisper escaping them.
- A single word that tore at his heart.
"Sunjae-ah.."
He felt a pang of guilt and anguish as he listened to her call out his name, her voice laced with a desperation that cut him to the core. Gently, he reached out, his fingers tracing the delicate contours of her face.
The scene in the swimming pool played out in Sunjae's mind, the haunting echo of Sol's anguished cries still resonating within him. As he sat there, watching her sleep, a heavy weight settled upon his shoulders.
Suddenly, a single tear escaped the corner of Sol's eye. Sunjae's breath caught in his throat, and without hesitation, he leaned forward, gently brushing it away with the back of his forefinger.
"Sunjae-ah..." she murmured once again.
