Murder Drones Oneshots (mostly Nuzi)

Guardian Angel Part 15

When Uzi got home she was surprised to see the naked V resting on her bed flicking through a bible. Uzi was even more surprised though to see another angel (this one wearing clothes) leaning against her desk.

Both angels looked at Uzi as she entered the room, V smiled at her while the unnamed angel scowled, looking at Uzi as if she was filth. "Uhh hey V- who's your friend?" Uzi asked, placing her bag down and trying not to be blinded by the holy light coming of the both of them.

"That's J, angel of Rules and Order, she's angry and I'm here to stop her from smiting you" V explained, sitting up on the bed as she adjusted her bare body to be facing J, who was still glaring at Uzi.

Taking a breath, J finally lowered her gaze from the worker drone, trying to maintain her fury. "N cursed a girl under my protection- I brought her to the bunker for safety- then you ruined it" J explained, fury evident in her voice as her golden eyes flashed.

Uzi was stunned, J was Annie's guardian Angel? That explained the matching pigtails and snarky tone in their voices. Whoever paired them up chose very well.

Wait how did I ruin anything?

"The heck did I do?! If N cursed her it's because you didn't protect her!" Uzi stammered, not really thinking her words through. J glared at Uzi even harder, the white light that tended to follow angels magnified to the point Uzi's visor displayed a warning of over heating.

Still, the worker stood her ground.

A moment of slight pain passed until V shoved J slightly, making the light dim enough for Uzi to relax, V actually stepped forward to inspect Uzi for damage. "N attacked Annie to protect you, he's cursed her to never receive love from the person she craves" V explained, speaking softly.

J still looked upset, but looked to the side as she mumbled "My job is to protect Annie and a few other drones, demonic desire however is stronger than my abilities". She looked so defeated Uzi almost felt bad, J was just trying to do her job after all.

"I...I'm sorry N turned out like this- I should have done something earlier" Uzi offered, moving V aside and approaching J, who was looking completely deflated. Uzi wasn't sure how to comfort J but ended up reaching her hand out as if to have J shake it, which the angel did with a sigh. "It wasn't completely you, N has always been slightly broken, why V loved him I'll never understand..." J quipped, almost snickering at the other angel.

V didn't seem amused but decided to be the bigger person and let J get it out, she'd had a rough day, a rough six months actually if you count the amount of work she'd done to find a new angel of love.

Without saying anything J stepped back from Uzi, face turning to stone again as she considered what else to ask, she wanted to be angry but knew that would be a waste of angelic breath. Annie was a lost cause and Uzi wasn't to blame for it.

That pathetic N is....

Uzi shuffled awkwardly where she stood "So are you guys sticking around or...?"

Suddenly Uzi felt a hand at her shoulder and noticed V standing closer than before, smiling down with her perfect teeth "Well we actually need to talk about that, we don't know if N is going to do something bad again, but if he does it would be better to have angels around".

It took a moment before Uzi realised what V was suggesting- having one or both of them stay here- it sounded like a great idea on paper...but having an angel around could complicate things.
