I swore when the door behind me made a loud bang. It was past curfew and I could not be caught out of bed carrying a bunch of nicked potion ingredients. If Snape found out I'm pretty sure he'd actually kill me. I crept up the stairs trying to balance the number of vials in my arms.Ayesha had found the perfect place for us to cook up our next prank.
The second floor girls bathroom was the gloomiest, most depressing bathroom I had ever been in. Under a large, cracked, and spotted mirror were a row of chipped sinks. The floor was damp and reflected the dull light given off by the stubs of a few candles, burning low in their holders; the wooden doors to the stalls were flaking and scratched and one of them was dangling off its hinges.
I was pretty sure this place was a safety hazard. Some should probably call the police.
"That's stealing you know? What's stopping me from telling the Bloody Baron?" Myrtle
"You mean other than the fact that you never leave this bathroom?" I grumbled trying my best to gently place the stolen ingredients beside Ayesha.
"Well, I was hoping that this could just stay between us. I mean friends have secrets, right?" Celia said sheepishly.
"Friends?" Myrtle's annoying shrill voice made me want to throw something at her stupid slightly transparent head.
"Well, we are friends aren't we?" Celia asked with a smile.
"All of us?" The ghost asked shooting me a pointed look.
I took a deep breath before giving her the fakest, cheesiest smile I could muster. "Of course, the best of friends."
Myrtle was motionless for a moment before grinning widely. "Oh, friends!"
Wow, my fake smile must be more convincing than I thought.
"What is it we're up to? Brewing up poison?"
"What? No!" Ayesha hissed. "We're making a potion to dye the Gryffindors' hair pink. Nobody's being poisoned."
Myrtle looked slightly disappointed that we weren't plotting to murder someone. I'd gotten the idea from Snvilly Snape's yearbook photo some genius obviously turned his robes pink. I opted to change their hair for you know originality.
Ayesha mixed a combination of dried nettles, powdered fireball spikes and streeler shells until the potion was a delightful bright pink. She grinned brightly. "It's ready."
"Uh, finally, I haven't slept in 3 days." I groaned lifting my head off the bathroom floor to look at her.
"This was your idea." Ayesha bit back.
"Great, what now?"
"Shouldn't you know?" Ayesha's gaze snapped to Celia.
"Yeah, I thought you had the password to the common room."
