Exams stressed me out. I was way too competitive, these exams were going to haunt my dreams. I hated them, they made me feel sick. They made my stomach ache and my head hurt-- I HATED THEM!It was way too hot, especially in the large classroom where we did our written papers. We'd had been given special, new quills for the exams, which had been bewitched with an Anticheating spell. Only idiots cheated and I was no idiot.
They had practical exams as well. Professor Flitwick called us one by one into his class to see if we could make a pineapple tap dance across a desk (too easy). Professor McGonagall watched us turn a mouse into a snuffbox -- points were given for how pretty it was, but taken away if it had whiskers (it was okay but my snuffbox looked a little ugly).
Snape made us all nervous, breathing down our necks while we tried to make a Forgetfulness potion. The Forgetfulness potion was complicated even for me. Harry must have been really stressed. He looked like he hadn't slept in days. He was slightly pale, with bags under his eyes. He'd been rattled by the creepy unicorn murderer we'd found in the forest. I hadn't thought about it much-- Hagrid could handle it right.
Our very last exam was History of Magic. One hour of answering questions about crazy old wizards who'd invented self-stirring cauldrons and I'd be done, then we'd have a whole wonderful week until our exam results came out. When the ghost of Professor Binns told us to put down our quills and roll up our parchment.
"I finally!" Ayesha groaned tipping her head back to the ceiling as we left the exam room.
"If I never see the Werewolf Code of Conduct pamphlet again it'll be too soon." Adonis sighed.
"I don't think it was that bad."
"That's because you're mental." I told Celia making her swat my arm. "Ow!"
"I can't believe the year's almost over." The words made my stomach drop. It was nearly summer which meant I'd be going back to the Dursleys soon. I'd be back in that house. I wanted to chain myself to my bed down in the dungeons and stay there until September.
"You all have to come stay with me!" Ayesha said excitedly. "We can go to Southport."
I gave her a weak smile as the others agreed. I couldn't go with them no matter how much I wanted to.
We walked out of the castle and sat by the sunny lakeside.
"Are you going to try out for the quidditch team next year?" Adonis asked.
"You think I'm going to fly and play a sport at the same time? Are you insane?"
"I'd kill to see you play quidditch." Celia laughed.
My friends all laughed and rolled my eyes. "I'd be an excellent quidditch player, I just hate heights."
"You also hate water."
