Dear Diary,Hi! It's me, Pip! It's been a while, and loads of stuff has happened. I had to stay in the Hospital wing for a week, I broke my shoulder when the troll attacked. Spoiler alert: it didn't get me out of homework. Boring. I got lots of cards (probably cause I was in the daily prophet again, they called me a hero) and my friends brought me sweets. Harry, Ron and Hermione came to visit but Ron didn't stay long because Soc tried to eat his rat. He didn't think it was funny (I found it hilarious).
Madam Pomfrey the school nurse had told me off for not sleeping and given me a potion that I had to take before bedtime, it knocked me out til morning. It was great, I was way less tired. I hadn't seen or heard Mum since Halloween but that didn't stop me from thinking about her. What did she want to tell me? Where was she taking me? It couldn't jut be to the bathroom, right?
When I was finally released Celia, Ayesha and I quickly got to pulling pranks. We'd done complicated ones like learning 5th-year charms to make Professor Binns sing every word during a History of Magic lesson (That was my favourite). We also did easy ones like dropping buckets of yellow paint on students walking through the entrance hall on their way to lessons.
"We need a name." Celia said suddenly making me jump.
"What?" I looked up from my flowery paper diary.
We sat alone in our dorm room eating snacks and trying to ignore the loud pre-Quidditch match party. Tomorrow was the first match of the season. Slytherin vs Gryffindor. It was also the first time I was going to see Harry play.
"Our group when we pull pranks, we need a name." Celia repeated.
"How about The Prankettes?" Ayesha said not even glancing up from her sign for tomorrow.
"No." Celia and I deadpanned.
"Erm, The Troubled Kids?"
"Nah, we're not troubled."
"Speak for yourself." I murmured, drawing hearts in my diary.
We bickered about what to call ourselves for another half an hour shooting down each other's ideas.
Ayesha gasped loudly. "What about the Amazons?"
"Like forest?" I asked raising eyebrows at her.
"No, no, the Amazons were these really brave ancient Greek warrior women. They were all women, men weren't allowed to join them."
Celia hummed. "That sounds cool."
I shrugged. "Yeah, that sounds alright."
"Hello, weirdos." Pansy dralled as she, Daphne, Millicent and Tracy walzed in.
"Nobheads." I nodded to them. They all exchanged a judgmental look smirking at each other making me feel uncomfortable. I immediately made sure the note Draco had thrown at me was safely tucked out of sight in the back of my diary.
