My tutoring started as soon as everyone got back from the winter break. Luckily I wasn't paired with a boring know-it-all like Percy Weasley or Hermione Granger (to be fair she wasn't as annoying as Percy) instead Adonis had been assigned to make sure I caught up on all my work by the end of the year or I'd be forced to redo first year.

"So what are you struggling with most?" Adonis asked studying the list of things I was behind in.

"Erm... transfiguration. I'm awful at it and the essays are too much." I rested my chin on my hand.

"I mean, it would probably help if you tried to write the essays." He murmured making me scowl at him.

"It would probably help if you tried to write the essays." I mimicked him in a high-pitched voice.

Adonis broke up my assignment into small chunks for me to do for the next three days. Next was finding somewhere to do my homework where I wouldn't get distracted. We'd tried the Astronomy Tower aka my favourite place in the castle but I kept getting distracted and looking over the edge, we tried the library but people kept coming over to talk to us so that didn't work. I was ready to give up but Adonis finally found a place where we could work.

We sat underneath the tree by the black lake-- Now you'd think that being outside surrounded by a load of people wouldn't help me but the water kept me weirdly focused.

"Did you hear about Parkinson?" Adonis asked suddenly making me jump (I'd forgotten he was even there). We'd been sat in silence for the better part of an hour scribbling down the last couple paragraphs of our transfiguration essays.

"What? No." I sat up straighter-- I loved gossip, I was convinced it was an Evans family trait.

"Well, apparently, the Parkinsons aren't as rich as they pretend to be."

"So?" I asked slightly disappointed.

"So? So? Pansy Parkinson has been calling you common for not growing up in a big house or with any servants but she's poor, like me."

"She called me common?" I squeaked.

"You didn't know? Yeah, she's been telling everyone you're a poor common weirdo."

"What a bitch!" I gasped. "I'm not a weirdo."

"You are a bit." Adonis said with a smirk.

"Shut up Addy." I grumbled elbowing him. "Did you know Percy Weasley has a girlfriend?"

"What? That neek has a girlfriend? A girl looked at him and thought yeah that's deffo boyfriend material."

By the end of our hour and a half Adonis and I had gossiped about half the school, finished our essays and thrown rocks onto the lake. Studying with Adonis was actually helping probably because it wasn't as ridiculously boring as it was when I was doing it alone.
