My Little Secret (Ginny Weasley x Draco Malfoy)

Chapter 8

The rest of the morning goes by in a blur. Draco and I have transfiguration, charms, and divination together.

Like yeah. One year difference, he's Slytherin... okay. Umm, skip that part. Oh, and he's a Malfoy... That might be hard to explain. But yeah. Besties!

 I get to lunch and part ways with him so he can sit with his friends and I can sit with mine.

 I can't find Harry, Ron, or Hermione so I sit with Luna and Neville. 

"You look cheerful," says Luna. 

Neville looks across at me with a grin. He has about half an orange in his mouth. Me and Luna giggle. Neville takes it out of his mouth. "Definitely Cheerful" adds Neville.

 "I've just had a good day is all" I counter. 

Then two second-year Gryffindors sit next to Neville and start talking to him. Seamus Finigan and Dean Thomas. 

Luna leans over to me and whispers "I've seen you with that Malfoy guy. You into him or something?" 

I immediately turn away and blush. "No! Where are you getting an idea like that?" 

Dang, is it that bloody obvious? 

My whole body warms at the thought of him being into me. 

Suddenly I'm worried. What if my brothers know? What would they say to mom and dad? I can just imagine it 'Ginny is with a Malfoy!!' Oh no. I can't have that happening. 

I was stopped in the middle of my thought when my two brothers Fred and George walked into the dining hall. But they pass us and go sit near their friends. I continued talking with Luna for a while about our new classes and what we liked most while making sure to keep off the topic of Draco.

Me and Luna have potions next class so we head out early to find it. No running with Draco this time. I thought. 

The rest of the day goes by slower than before. Probably because Draco isn't here I thought.

Finally, It's dinner time, and the school day is over. I sit down with Ron, Harry, Luna, and Hermione. 

"Where were you guys at lunch today?"

"Sorry, we went and had lunch with Hagrid." Replies Hermione. 

"Well.." says Ron " We would have liked to have lunch but the giant can't cook for the life of him"

Hermione elbows him hard in the arm "Oww!! What was that for???"

"Be nice to Hagrid!"

"Yeah be nice Ron," Harry adds.

With that, Ron shoves a huge spoonful of potatoes into his mouth. 

Suddenly, I feel a tap on my shoulder. I thought it was Luna sitting next to me, but then I heard Ron say harshly, " Get away from my sister Malfoy." 

Hermione joins in "We don't want any trouble Draco just leave the table."

I freeze when I hear the name Draco. Then I look at the people at my table and then back at Draco. 

"Give me 20 seconds," I say to my friends.

Ron's jaw might as well have dropped to the floor. 

I stand up and walk out of the dining hall, Draco by my side. 

Once we get outside we sit against a wall, close enough to be friends. Then as we settled in, Draco's arm somehow made its way around my shoulder and I was too tired to hold my head up so it ended up on his shoulder. We look like lovebirds, we both know it, but just accept it. 

"Ginny"

"Mhm?"

"What are we going to do about our families?"

I thought about it for a second

"We are going to have to pretend to hate each other around other people," I said matter-of-factly.

"Hmm not a bad idea."

We both smile at that. Then sit in silence for another 3-4 minutes, enjoying each other's company.

Draco finally says "Well then we need it to look like we fought out here."

"Okay then"

I'm about to get up when Draco grabs my arm to keep me down, then leans into my ear and says "I like you Ginny. " and then kisses my cheek.

So many feelings rush through me at once, love, resentment, peace, utter happiness, and others I cannot even explain.  

Draco starts to get up when I grab the collar of his robes. Then I kiss him on the lips. just a small peck but it made a huge difference. Draco flushes red and then we both stand up.

Now we are even, I thought.

"Alright! Ready to scar ourselves up?" Draco says with a mischievous look on his face. 

"as ready as I'll ever be!" I reply animatedly. 

Me and Draco spend the next 5 minutes casting spells one by one on each other. 

"Don't hurt my limbs!" Draco cautioned "Quittich season starts soon!"

"Will do!"

In the end, I ended up with a bruise or two on my arms and legs, and Draco ended up with a black eye and a bad bruise on his rib area. but we had one more thing to make this believable. 

"Ginny no offense, but we both know you would not win this fight, so I have a plan." 

"Okay..?"

"I am going to cast a curse that knocks you unconscious, then once you're unconscious I'm going to roughen you up a bit." 

"Okay. Im in. as long as you don't kill me."

"No, I will catch you when you pass out. It will hurt when you wake up though."

"Okay I'm ready"

In reality, Im terrified. Im going to be hurting for a bit if Madam Pomfrey can't fix it. But if it will help me and Draco to be together in the end? It's all worth it. 

"Okay Ginny, I will come into the hospital wing after dark and see you if you're still awake. "

"Okay." 

"Three..."

Oh gosh now I'm scared

"Two..."

Here we go!

"On........"

Everything went black.
