I ended up sitting with Neville and Hermione for the rest of the train ride.

So much for Luna and Collin.

The three of us kinda just sat in silence for a while and worried about what kind of trouble those two would get themselves into.

Then for the last 10 minutes talked about our families and classes we took or want to take.

I like Hermione. I think she and I will be good friends in Gryffindor.

And Neville is a lot of fun. He's funny and nerdy at the same time. It's awesome.

Then we arrived.

And all I could think was Ron and Harry are dead.

I could tell the others were thinking it too.

But either way, dead friends or not, we had to enter Hogwarts.

So I got off with the first years and joined Hagrid, a humongous man with so much hair I could barely see his face.

He called out in his deep voice

" First years! All first years over here with me! Don't get on the boats yet! "

I walk over as slowly as I can, looking for Fred and George or even Percy at this point, to ask if they have seen Ron or Harry get on the train.

But I didn't lay eyes on any of them before I got into the boat with Hagrid and the rest of the first years.

"This is Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. Quite a wonderful place if you ask me. Now there's the main entrance..."

I stopped paying attention right after the 'this classroom is here and that one's there'. I was too worried about my brother.

Where is he? Was the only thing going through my head. Why me? Of all times Ron you have to choose the day I'm supposed to be having the time of my life? Why now?

I was snapped out of my thoughts when Luna tapped me on the shoulder and told me to get out of the boat.

 "Thanks, Luna"

"No problem!" She said innocently.

"Are you okay? You seem dazed. It must be the nargles."

I didn't have the time or energy to ask her what a nargle was.

"Uhh yeah, I guess ".

We walk into Hogwarts and all thoughts go away.

All worries.

 All of it.

I just walk and marvel at the vastness and beauty of this ancient building. Dark wood and smooth stone.

Wow was all I could think in the moment.

Hagrid walks us into a room which has to be the dining hall. There are four tables with all ages of teenagers in four different colors. Green, Yellow, Red, Blue. Slytherin, Hufflepuff, Gryffindor, and Ravenclaw.

And then the table at the front of the room. All the teachers are sitting there. Including Professor Dumbledore.

If you've never met the man, let me describe him. He's a super tall, old man who wears half-moon glasses and a long robe. Oh another thing, his intimidating as hell.

I was shaking when I set eyes on him. I had to look away. Then I realized.

It's time for the sorting.
