Summer was over and the trio was back in school, now they had all officially turned five. They had advanced to senior kindergarten meaning they were certified adults now! Big kids who had to go to school every day. It was a very big deal, for them at least.

Cyrika Izuku and Katsuki had been dropped off together by Mitski since Inko and Yuri’s work started early in the morning and they couldnt make it. But they did make sure to give the kids little letters of good luck and special lunches.

Since they were all five now Cyrika and Izuku had been buzzing with excitement about what their quirks would be. Theorizing about which one of their parents abilities they would get, or if they would receive a mix of both! They were beyond joyous at the thought. Katsuki, was of course his regular confident and loud self. But he had started to change. Small things, like how he would be aggressive more often and stopped compromising. He already wasnt the best at it before but he would attempt to compromise, but now? It’s like he had completely given up on it. Izuku and Cyrika were too young to realize why it was happening.

Cyrika hummed to herself, playing with stackable blocks, seeing how high she could make it go before it fell. Izuku was beside her, keeping count of how many blocks she stacked. He could already count to twenty, Cyrika always thought he was super smart. Katsuki was off playing with some other kids. Well- playing is the wrong word, showing off is closer to his current endeavors. He used his quirk to make small explosions go off in his hands, making blinks that sounded like a bang snap going off. Katsuki had developed a following because of this, not many but a few kids followed him like he was a god among men.

The teachers paid it no mind, dubbing it as innocent fun and not alerting any parents of the behavior. Schools had always had this issue of favoring children with impressive quirks, letting more things slide since they saw them as heroic and didnt want to mess up their permanent records. The problem was largely ignored by ninety percent of school boards and fostered a lot of hatred towards those with and without quirks.

Cyrika hummed to herself as she placed another block on the stack, having to stand on her tippy toes to reach the top. Almost toppling over when she regrounded herself. Izuku smiled and moved to add another to the counter. But before he could the tower wobbled beginning to fall downwards. It crashed onto the carpeted floor and spread out, the multicolored blocks coating the colored floor. Cyrika smiled, picking them back up and starting over again.

Izuku helped her picked them up, wanting to help her build the tower. Before the trio had been held together by Katsuki, not than Cyrika and Izuku didnt get along, but they were both close to Katsuki so it made sense for him to be the glue of the trio. But ever since he started becoming more distant the two had begun to spend more and more time together. They had at least had four sleepovers this month alone.
