Waqt ka Sikhana
It was a normal morning in the Rajput House when Razzaq Rajput received a call from Dawood Ali Khan. He announced about their visit in the evening. According to him it something important he wanted to discuss and asked if Razzaq Rajput could also invite his brother over. After this call and sudden announcement, the ladies of the house got busy in their work. By afternoon, Amjad Rajput also arrived with his family but today something was different. Amjad Rajput was avoiding eye contact. Yameen Rajput was looking weak. Yasmeen on the other hand was looking for her prey, Rubaisha Rajput. To her surprise Rubaisha and Umer were out to run some errands. By the time they returned, The Khan family was already present. Both of them entered after taking a deep breath. Umer was holding his sister's hand protectively. They reached the sitting area and greeted everyone loudly. Rubaisha and Aliya shared a warm hug while Arshad patted her head to which he received a dark glare from his brother. Arshad smirked feeling dagger. He moved a little and she came to the view.
What a beautiful view...
The children enjoyed while the males discussed business when the maid informed about the food. After dinner, everyone again seated in the sitting room when Razzaq Rajput spoke.
"Khan sahab aapko toh kisi maamlay pay baat karni thi nah?" He grabbed everyone's attention
(Mr. Khan, you wanted to talk, right?)
"Mein aapsay kuch maangnay aaya hon, maang lon?" Dawood Ali Khan questioned
(I wanted to ask for something, can I?)
"Agar meray bas main hua toh day donga" Razzaq Rajput replied
(If I could, then I would)
"Aap apni Rubaisha meray Shariq ko day dein" Dawood Ali Khan requested
(Can you give your Rubaisha to my Shariq)
Silence. A pin drop silence. You could hear the clock tick. No one uttered a word. Razzaq Rajput turned towards Aliya who was looking at him with hopeful eyes.
"Mujhay kuch waqt dein aur Aliya beta aap aaj raat yahan ruk jaye. Subah chalay jana" Razzaq Khan said
On the cue, the Khan Family stood up to leave. After bidding good bye and leaving a part of their family, the Khans left not knowing about the tsunami which will hit the Rajput house. Yasmeen, as usual burst out.
"Aakhir tumhara masla kya hai?!" shouted Yasmeen
(What is your problem?!)
"Mein nay kiya kya hai jo tum itna bharak rahi ho?" Asked the calm Rubaisha
(What did I do that caused you to be this worked up?)
"Kyun k tumnay bachpan say mujhsay sab kuch cheena hai! Tumnay pehlay Umer bhai aur Asghar bhai ko mujhsay door kiya! Ab tum Shariq ko cheena chahti ho?!" Yasmeen shouted on top of her lungs
(Because you snatched everything from me since our childhood! First you snatched Umer and Asghar! Now you want to snatch Shariq from me?!)
"Tumhay lagta hai mein nay tumsay sab kuch cheen liya?! Mein nay?! Toh theek hai! Kaan khol kar meri baat suno! Mein, Rubaisha Rajput, Shariq Ali Khan say shaadi nahi karongi lekin agar tumnay dobara mujhpay koi ilzaam laga nay ka socha yah mujhpay haath uthaya toh mein tumhay bataoungi k Rubaisha Rajput kon hai! SAMJHI?!" Rubaisha shouted to which Yasmeen flinched
(You think I snatched everything from you?! Me?! Fine then! Open your ears and carefully listen to me! I, Rubaisha Rajput will not marry Shariq Ali Khan but if you dared to accuse me or raise your hand at me then you will see what Rubaisha Rajput would do! UNDERSTOOD?!)
Rubaisha stormed towards her room. Her words echoed in Aliya's ears. Her eyes filled with angry tears. She threw daggers through her eyes. Before Yameen Rajput could defend her daughter, a hard slapped was placed on Yasmeen's cheek making her lose her balance and fall on the ground.
"Mein sab k saamnay kasam kha rahi hon, tumhari wajah say hum apnay gharon k heeray khoye gay! Iss say pehlay waqt tumhay seekhaye, tum khud seekh jao. Waqt ka seekhana saari zindagi ka pachtawa hota hai!" Aliya seethed with anger
(I swear in front of everyone that because of you, we will loose the diamonds present in our house. Learn before the time teaches you. The lesson time teaches is the life long guilt!)
Yasmeen looked towards Aliya with empty eyes.
"Shariq mera tha! Shariq mera hai! Aur Shariq mera rahay ga!" she put pressure on each word
(Shariq was mine! Shariq is mine! And Shariq will be mine!)
"Meri baat likh lo, tumhari wajah say hum sab k beech nafrat ka pooday ugay ga. Tumhari wajah say mujhsay meray doo bhai chhut jaye gay! Tumhari wajah say mein apni aik behan kho dongi! Aur agar aisa hua, toh yaad rakhna Yasmeen, mein tumhay kabhi maaf nahi karongi!" Aliya said
(Mark my words, you will be the cause of a never ending conflict. You will be the reason I will lose two of my brothers. I will lose one of my sister and always remember that I will never forgive if this ever happens!)
