Chapter 20

It was the greatest day. It was warm but breezy and made me feel so comfortable.

Iroh and I were so relaxed that he actually got a massage in the greatest spot, right under the cherry tress, which we blooming.

Zuko was really quiet. He did not want to talk about anything. I tried changing the subject but he'd just say "Yeah" and then turn.

"Ahhhh, this is what I needed" Iroh sighed and laid down while they were massaging him.

Iroh looked at Zuko and then me, he was worried about Zuko. I had to say something.... And oh my god I'm so stupid.

Today was Zuko's anniversary! How can I forget! Today was the day Ozai kicked him out.

Iroh kneeled to Zuko who was sitting down on the floor with a hat.

"Today's the anniversary, right?" Iroh asked looking for a response from Zuko. Zuko stayed hesitant and looked angry.

"Today was the day I was kicked off my throne. I want the avatar, I want my honor, I want my throne, I want to go home"

Iroh didn't know what to say but he stared at me and sighed "You know, let's not look at this like a bad thing, let's celebrate! Let's eat, I'm starving"

I smiled at Iroh to try to keep the day optimistic but he couldn't because we were kinda broke.

I wanted to tell him in the most nicest way I can "Iroh, I don't think-"

"These fine ladies decided to pay for us" he smiled and turned behind him to wave to the girls and waved back.

After we ate, we headed straight to the house. It was usually me and Iroh saying something and Zuko would just smile. He didn't want to talk at all.

"Zuko, maybe we can check out the town when Iroh goes to sleep, I know you like sweets" I smiled as we walked up the mountain to the place.

He nodded "No, I just want to rest today, it's been a long day" he sighed.

"Okay" I nodded. I went in front of Iroh to open the house. I heard something inside.

The rock that I put on the door to check if someone was to open the door the rock would be in a different place.

I looked at Iroh, I gave him a hint and he nodded. Zuko was still a little zoned out.

"I can't wait to lay down" I yawned. Iroh laughed "That massage was great" he gazed.

I opened the door and checked in real quick. Someone was still here. We walked in slowly, still Zuko not knowing.

The house was made out of wood so I could hear every step. I heard another creek and it was towards the living room.

In the corner there was a shadow, I quickly threw fire from the bottom so they won't see it.

Then the person threw fire back to make it go away "Not so bad, Kusaki"

The voice.

I can't believe it.

It was Azula.

She came out of the shadows and smiled "Your getting better and better with your senses, huh Kusaki? Just to be a worthless body guard for these two traitors? I'd rather you be my body guard... For the real royalty" she smiled.

I smiled "What royalty? As far as I know, I see a wanna be, non- perfect, brat in front of me"

She hated when she wasn't perfect at things "When you threw that fire your stance was not balanced and a hair was misplaced"
