Drunken sleep was never refreshing. It always left a bad taste in Angels mouth. A dryness in his body and a feeling of heavy in his limbs. He struggled to wake up as he always did. Slowly turning over to find the bed empty. He moved his hands over the spot. Expecting someone. There was always someone. But there was no one there. He opened his eyes. looking over to the only light source. A lamp on the desk turned on. Illuminating the figure sitting at it. His nearly glowing red eyes looking at Angel with his wide grin set on his cheeks.
Angel closed his eyes and groaned. Had he been watching him all night. It was suppose to be creepy but the spider couldn't help finding it cute. He was seriously watching him as if he was more interesting then his war books. Too adorable. He yawned to remove the smile that wanted to form on his face.
"Kind a creepy Al. Can't be watchin folks like that" he teased. His voice to hoarse to make it flutter. Augh what did he drink yesterday. Slowly he got up. Hanging over himself while trying to will his eyes open. He slid off the bed and on to his feet. If he was mobile maybe he'd be less tired. He grabbed his back pack and headed for the door. Alastor watching his every move. He left the room. Heading for the bathroom to get ready for the day. It had been two days that he hadn't warn his makeup and now he was self aware. He Set his bag down on the ground to pull out his makeup kit. Eye liner first.
When he looked into the mirror to start he paused. He was startled by how much of a wreck he looked. He looked so tired without his makeup on. So warn and almost sickly with how white his fur was. He was tired. But he didn't want to look it. This vacation had been less then relaxing. It felt like forever he had been here but really it had only been a few days.
He didn't get to party like he wanted. Fuck who he wanted. He didn't get to fuck at all. But that was also his own fault. Even with Vox watching him he still had am opportunity. A delicious man in the waters ready to scoop him up. But he just wasn't into it. He couldn't stop thinking about the radio demon. It was more of an issue now. Before he could just brush it off but now. They'd done so much together. He wasn't sure he'd ever forget it. Not being sober anyway.
Flashes of the man fighting him as he patched up his wound. Flooded into his mind. He really did look like an injured animal. Biting at the hand helping him. He hoped he was ok. That his silk would hold up long enough for him to heal. Even if it be better if he died. Husker would be free among many others. The V's would stop feeling threatened. But the idea of a world with out Alastor.
It wasn't something he was willing to entertain. He had ran on impulse that whole night. Chasing the man then making a deal. Just to keep him alive. A deal. Which the radio man didn't seem to take seriously. He had presented a deal whenever he could and the only thing he asked was for Angel's slight back story. Why, what did he gain from that. A way to trap Angel later. Corner him in a more brutal deal. Well he wasn't that easy. Despite what people say. He'd have to keep his guard up though. From now on, just to protect what little of himself he had left.
Angel dressed in the only outfit he brought that wasn't for swimming or sleeping. He picked up his bag and headed for the living room. He set his bag down by the wall, looking out at the house. A ping of nostalgia hitting him as he did. Coming here for years did that. He looked over at the couch, seeing Cherri spread out on it again. But this time she was awake. Her bag pressed against the couch where she sat. Alastor was situated at the island. A cup of coffee in hand as he read his paper. Angel walked to the living area. Sitting down in the chair by the wall. He tossed his head into his hand as he slouched in the chair.
"Where's Rachel" he asked. Having a suspicion. Cherri blinked her eye open to look at him. Seeming just as tired as he felt. "Left last night. She saw some guys packing up and they gave her a ride. I would of gone with her but you know me. Ride or die" she spoke less enthusiastic then usual. Angel lightly chuckled at her.
