Angel could feel how tired he was. Emotionally exhausted. Physically exhausted. He sat in the kitchen, forcing a burrito into himself. But with each bite he felt like he was going to vomit it back up. He was hungry but his stomach hated the idea of food. He gave up. He set the burrito down on a plate. Moving it over so he could lay out on the island of the kitchen. He just wanted to pass out but every time he did he had nightmares.
Except when Alastor sang to him. How embarrassing it must have been to fall asleep to the mans voice. He closed his eyes. Niffty's cleaning the dishes was the only sound in the room. He didn't even hear the door open as he tried to push away his nausea. Tapping registered to him. He opened his eyes, seeing the dazzling shoes come into view. Stopping before him. There was a spec of blood on the side of the mans shoe. Where had he gone. Who did he kill. How much did they struggle for him to look so sloppy. Angel blinked then sat up. Looking over at Alastor. The man all smiles as usual. Holding his hands behind himself. He moved one out then set his cane to touch the floor. His fingers curling around the top.
"My you look worse then this morning" he spoke, frowning his brows as he turned his head a little. His voice sounded sweet but it had to be fake sincerity. Angel grunted then set his head on his hand.
"Gee thanks ladies love ta hear that. Truthfully yuh ain't so neat yuh self but yuh don' hear me pointing it out all the time" Angel argued back. Moving to lean back and let his arm drop. Alastor narrowed his eyes for a second then smoothed out his features.
"Ah I see, a bad mood once again. Well I have a remedy for this if you'd be so kind to join me" Alastor held out his elbow for Angel. His words were pleasant but he was being sarcastic. Angel almost giggled at the mans annoyance. His buttons were to easy to push. Angel forced himself up. His body feeling like led as he moved. But he pushed through it. Anything was better then laying on the kitchen island with a half eaten burrito taunting him.
And if they ended up outside Angel was sure the V's would be to occupied with Alastor to really give him an grief. Angel took his elbow as he had done so many times before. Letting the radio man lead him out of the kitchen. Alastor pushed open the swinging door and they both left.
He didn't say anything. Kept quiet. Which wasn't unusual for Alastor. But he also adored good conversation when he wondered. Angel was fine with it being quiet. He couldn't run from the things in his mind anyway.
"Angel" Alastor spoke nd he looked over. Watching the mans gaze flick away. As if he was nervous about something. He cleared his throat then turned forward. "Never mind" he let out. Angel blinked at him. What did he want to say. What was he back peddling on. This man was always so sure about everything. Yet here he was pulling back. Angel raised a brow at him but the smaller ignored him. Now that plagued his mind. What could have Alastor so unsure.
His string of thoughts were interrupted when Alastor stopped. Causing him to stop. The radio demon lowered his arm and slipped it out of Angels hold. Lightly he stepped to the corner of the hall. Angel fallowed behind. Both of them peering over the curve of the corner to the next hall. Down the hall stood Lucifer. The man standing in front of one of the many portraits of his wife. Alastor moved back and Angel backed away to keep the distance. The man turned around, his grin wide and sharp.
"Remember an old conversation we had on potential pranks to pull. Well I have been thinking about it. I don't rally know how to create sound effect that aren't part of a sound track and it give me away to quickly if I was to attempt this sound effects prank of yours. I was going to inquire your assistance once again. Though when I saw you laying in the kitchen I figured you could use a pick me up. And what better way to put a smile on ones face then tormenting the king"
