When it ended, we both stared at eachother for a few seconds. Then, I grinned, and he smiled back.

"I take it you understand that the feeling is mutual?" I said, giggling.

"Yeah, I got that."

Norman wiped his face, his eyes shining still, but not quite so sad anymore. (Author again, I was about to have Ray yap about his eyes but then I just went ✨️ blue orbs 👁 👉 👈 )

"So, you're my boyfriend now?" asked Norman.

"As long as you're okay with it."

"Well obviously hell yeah."

He leaned on my shoulder, and I took his hand. We stayed like that for a while, on the side of the road. I didn't feel like dying right now, when he was here.

After a good ten minutes, I tapped him on the shoulder, "I wish we could stay like this, but I should be getting home."

"Ah, you're right, I should too. By the way, um .... are we going to tell Emma?"

"Oh, um..." I paused. "I think it would be fine if we did, but it's up to you.

Norman considered, "Sure. Tomorrow at lunch?"

"I'll see you then, love," I responded, and kissed him on the cheek.

Norman went red and I ran away.

(Timeskip to the next day at lunch)

Ray walked found Norman in the crowded building and grabbed his hand. Norman let out a sigh of relief. I guess the crowds are getting to him.

"Hi."

"Hi."

I pulled him outside, then dropped his hand as we reached the door and saw Emma. The three of us greeted eachother and walked over to our usual spot.

The second we stopped Emma side-eyed us and said, "Something's off. What are you about to tell me?"

I exchanged a nervous glance with Norman. We stared eachother down, each willing the other to say something.

Finally, I blurted, "Norman and I are a thing."

Emma squealed and jumped up and down, "Yipee!!" Then her face dropped, "This can't be... I'm the third wheel now aren't I?"

Norman patted her on the back, "You'll find someone," He said mockingly.

She pushed him away, "You two are very annoying."

We joked for the rest of lunch about Emma having 0 bitches.

(Timeskip to after school)

Norman and I had agreed to meet up after school, and walk home together. I didn't want a repeat of yesterday. I waited outside the door until Norman stumbled out and grabbed my hand.

"I'm so glad that's over," He said, breathing out.

"Why, what happened? Do I need to punch someone else?"

"Just...loud. That kind of thing is really bad in my head. I don't really know why. Its stupid."

I squeezed his hand, "No, it's not."

We walked all the way home holding hands. Life is good when you have a boyfriend.(my lesbian ass feels physical pain typing that sentence)

At home I kept worrying about Norman. I couldn't sleep. This is partially because I can't sleep much anyways, but he was still the only thing on my mind.

I've got an idea.
