TW: Nightmare including violence and death

I was having a great time with Norman, just talking and being with eachother. Yet I couldn't stop worrying that this could end. Like what if Sarah decided I couldn't go out after school in case I was with Norman, or she sent me to a boarding school, or . . . I don't know. I just don't want to be away from him. I-

"Ray! Look at this!" Norman said, jolting me back to reality.

I walked over to the bush that he was sitting next to. He was holding some berries that he'd picked from the bush.  He tried to eat one.

I swatted at his hand, "AUGH! NORMAN STOP THATS POISONOUS!!"

Norman dropped the berries with a bewildered expression, "whoops. Well, now you have saved my life."

I nodded proudly. He kissed me on the cheek. I suppose this counted as a thank you.

After an hour or so, the sun started to set and turn the sky pretty colors. I was sitting in the grass, leaning against a tree with Norman's head on my shoulder. I wish we could stay like this forever.

"Ray?" Norman murmured without moving.

"Yes, love?"

"I'm cold."

It was in fact not cold at all, but I gave him my hoodie anyway. He smiled and pulled his hands into the sleeves before resting on my shoulder again. Now the sky was nearly all orange and yellow, with some purple. Sarah will be getting suspicious. . .Womp womp, I'm on my first date my boyfriend.

Still, the fear that I wouldn't be able to be with him anymore made me say, "Norman, I should be going soon."

He didn't respond, "Norman?"

I looked down at him. He was asleep, with his pale hair hanging over his ✨️ blue orbs ✨️ (I'm sorry👁👄👁). He looked so cute like that. URGHHHHH I CANNOT POSSIBLY WAKE HIM. I stayed still for a good twenty minutes, lost in thoughts of the future, of what I'd tell my aunt. I'd been doing, of how I'd keep seeing Norman regularly. Then, he moved his head. I looked over, and his eyes were still closed, but his face was twisted with worry and sort of panic.

"Stop..." Norman whispered. His eyes opened, and he jumped up and stumbled back with a little shriek.

I leapt up and grabbed his hand, "Norman what's going on? Are you okay?"

He shook his head, as if clearing his mind, "Yeah, sorry, just a bad dream."

He was still shaking a bit, so I hugged him, "What happened?"

"It was like what happened with Keith and them, like when we got together."

"Oh..."

"Except some of Keith's friends were shadow figures, and when you showed up, they, like, brutally murdered you and I couldn't move..."

"Damn."

I held him for a little while, until he jolted, "Whoa, what time is it? I have to get home."

"Oh, right, yeah, same."

We walked home together, hand in hand, as the sun set.

Author's Note: I managed to add sadness back in. WHY AM I LIKE THIS- uh, anygays, I hope this chapter was delectable. I hate it when authors write dreams as actually making coherent sense, so I tried to make it more realistic. That's why Norman's nightmare is a bit quirky. BYE BYE.
