I was very relieved once Norman knew that I didn't mean what I had texted him. I let him know during that lunch that we probably couldn't text anymore, as well, but I would try to see him in person as much as I could. After that the rest of the day sort of blurred by. I couldn't really focus in class, which was normal for me, but it was worse than usual. I really didn't want to be there.
Once the school day ended, I got on the bus and attempted to not speak to anyone. Keith passed by me on the way and slowed down, but I glared at him and he looked spooked so he kept walking. When I got to Sarah's house, I made my way straight to my room, but she stopped me.
"Hello, Ray. Did you have a good day?" Sarah asked stiffly.
"Yeah, thanks," I mumbled and tried to step further.
"Hold on. I need to talk to you," she responded, blocking the hallway.
Argh istg please make the yapping session short I can't stand her face- I nodded, trying to keep a straight face. (I can't make the joke, it's a bad joke, BUT ITS FUNNY-) Can't be making a gay face around this woman. She led me to the table and motioned for me to sit. Damn this is formal.
"I suppose you remember what happened yesterday morning?" her tone was extremely patronizing
"Yes," girl I have a memory you know?
"I was a bit shocked in the moment, so I was able to properly tell you my meaning. You realize that what you did was ... unnatural, don't you?"
I blinked. My mind was blank. "Er . . ." Ah, she's probably dense anyway, don't need a great acting job, "Yes?"
"Good. Then why would you feel the need to do such a thing?"
"Uh." Because LOVE IS LOVE BITCH- "I- d-dont know?"
She sighed. Dramatic much? Damn.
"Can I see your phone to be sure that you haven't spoken to that boy?"
I breathed in, reminding myself that yelling at her was not a good idea, "Yes, sure."
She took it and fumbled with the buttons for about a minute. I had to hold back laughter. Finally she aggressively stared my text conversation with Norman. She seemed to approve, because she nodded and handed it back to me.
"And you aren't speaking to him at school?"
"Nope," lying to her face this is funny.
"Ok. You can go, but remember this all still applies, always. You'll find yourself a nice girl soon enough."
"Sure," I nodded. Nooo thank you.
Authors Note: sorry this chapter was really short, it was painful to right sooooooo they're going on date next time. Finally like fr. Them pigeons were crashing into my window and distracting me.
