14. Hideaway

rhaenyra although should have been on top of the world still isolated herself in the moon to come after her crowning. Viserys too wanted to hide, wanted to close the doors and never come out for air.

Alicent was in a good mood however. Miguel and her were perfect.

Miguel had peered out from behind the large willow tree on Alicents property and waited for her to wake up. She looked out her window and her eyes locked on the tree. She hurried to get ready rushing out the door as she shoved her shoes on.

Otto was in the kitchen sipping his tea when alicent flew through.

"Alicent-"

"Hi morning see you later father!" Alicent called out the door slammed closed behind her. Otto stared at the door a moment longer before turning back to his book and his tea.

"Morning." Miguel whispered as she wrapped her arms around him hugging him quickly before grabbing his hand and pulling him along. Their feet crunched on the pathway as they moved.

"Sorry just didnt want my father to ruin this." Alicent admitted.

"Hiding me away. I get it," miguel teased. Alicent hesitated "alicent," he squeezed her hand feeling her pulse racing through her. "I understand besides i like that it is just us."

"Just us." She agreed kissing his cheek. "Lets go."

"Yes please. Where did you want to go? What do you want to do?"

"Anywhere."

"I have an idea." Miguel decided.

Alicent smiled at the dogs as they ran through the pound.

"Mila!" Miguel called.

"Who?" Alicent questioned.

"My eldest brother's wife." Miguel answered and she relaxed.

"Miggy!" She declared

"Mila runs this dog rescue. She takes them off the streets and gives them a home. She's too good for my brother." Miguel added.

"Thanks for making the trip down to see me." Mila added. "Did you bring any-"

"Next time sorry spur of the moment." Miguel countered. "Mila this is my... my Alicent."

"Nice to meet you lady alicent." Mila said as two pups came barreling into her. Alicent tumbled into Miguel

" you as well." Alicent knelt down in her pretty dress and of course the dogs flocked to her kissing and slobbering on her. Alicent laughed out

"I'm guessing this is a don't tell you family tour off date?" Mila whispered nothing Miguel's smile.

"I swear you are the only one in my family i actually like." Miguel decided.

"Tell your brother to be nicer to me and come home." Mila requested. "He is off fighting another war."

"You want one of my 57 other brothers? It would be nice to have a boy more space in the house."

"With a lady like her on your arm you will surely have a castle when you marry." Mila countered and Miguels face fell. "I got a nerve." She realized

"Not you just our families. She is a lady and I'm just... Miguel."

"Best guy ever." Mila assured giving him a hug.

" Miguel this place is the best!" Alicent declared. "My father never let us have pets. Said dogs were for kennels and starks." Alicent recalled.

"Visit anytime you like and if you want to make a donation it is also greatly-"

"Mila dont milk her for money and sympathy." Miguel begged "You were supposed to make me look good." He mumbled

"I got to make a living and tending to hounds didn't make me anything accept happy."

"And that is a life with living." Alicent agreed. " i will return with donations i promise. We need more people like you and Miguel trying to better the world through pets or plants."
