Alicent found that in the sept they got to do whatever they want be whoever they wanted no one questioned them or gave them side eyed glances when they knelt and prayed together their hands interlocked in the dark there whispered words like prayers instead of little confessions of love back-and-forth

"You're making me blush."

"Good thing no one can see with all the candlelight."  he teased. Alicent bumped her shoulder into him.

"Our wedding would be right there." Alicent whispered her head bowed. Miguel glanced back at the steps of pearly whites and swirled marble.

"Lets test it out. How it would be done." Miguel suggested pulling her to her feet.

"Miguel," she giggled.

"Come on. Let me imagine." Miguel requested. Alicent blushed following him up. He held her hands before someone came in. They separated temporarily admiring the statues before they were alone again.

"Im severely underdressed." Miguel realized.

"You look perfect for our fake wedding." Alicent corrected their hands clasped between them. He could have been in rags and she would have still loved him.

"I don't have a ring for our fake wedding."
Miguel realized

"I dont need a ring."

"We need a flower." Miguel countered. "Dont move you need a bouquet." He decided. He ran out taking the steps two at a time. He ran plucking flowers at random. The setpas must have thought him crazy a mad man but he didnt care as he ran back up the steps and presented alicent with a bouquet.

"Its beautiful miguel!" Alicent declared breathing them in. "Beautiful."

"Now we are ready."

"Yes." She agreed.

"Alicent do you take this man that will forever bring shame and embarrassment to your house and name to be your lawful wedded husband?" Miguel declared.

"I do. A million times yes." Alicent agreed. "Do you Miguel diaz take this woman that's father is controlling and manipulating whos brothers will surely threaten you into thinking my family is crazy but to whom this girl will love you unconditionally through her families disapproval to be your lawful wedded wife?"

"A million times yes." He agreed kissing her.

"You wouldnt bring shame to my family Miguel." Alicent added as they walked down the steps hand in hand. "You would make this family better. I know it. Even if they wouldnt see it as such."

"Im okay with our fake wedding alicent. Its okay-"

"Its not. Do you think you would embarrass me and that is why I keep you hidden you think I'm ashamed of you, but I'm not." Alicent declared. " I would've gladly married you with a bouquet of flowers and that is all. No people at us no fancy jewels or fancy outfits. I would have married you just like this ." She decreed.

"Me too." Miguel agreed. "I mean you too. I mean- i would like that a lot."

But it was a fantasy

"Alicent where did you run off to today?" Otto pondered.

"The sept. To pray." For guidance and wisdom and the strength and couraged to tell her father and everyone she loved miguel. And then have a fake wedding.

"Lovely. Words of prayer can be so enlightening." Viserys agreed.

"My alicent is a very enlightened young woman was beyond her years always learning and studying and praying trying to better herself." Otto was excellent at singing her praises. Alicent wished he would stop.

" And then I went to the gardens and picked flowers. Excuse me. I need to put these in a vase before they start to wilt." Alicent added. "Your grace, father." She curtsied before heading out smiling down at the flowers.

Her wedding may have been fictional, but these flowers were real. Her love for miguel was real. His love for her. All real.
