"I just-" kiss "-have one more-" kiss. "-unfortunate thing-" double kiss "-I have to do." Kiss. Kiss. Kiss.

Miguel smiled running his hands over her arms.

"I love when you leave like this." He agreed.

She had a smile on her face, the entire walk to the King chambers  she knew she should've told someone her best friend possibly of the relationship she had going with Miguel  but she also like that it was just for them. She didn't have to deal with anyone else, their input, their judging criticism, their opinions that she didn't want and she didn't need to hear because with Miguel she just got to be Alicent.

She didn't have to be the lady Hightower, daughter of hand of the king. She got to be herself and she got to be free. So walking to the King chambers, she had a smile on her face when her father saw her, but didn't know that she didn't care for the king as he wanted to cared for that her father would surely have a heart attack if you found out and she loved her father so he must never find out about Miguel.

'The Valyrian capital was built into a volcano, much like Dragonstone. And the dragonlords, the highest of the nobility, lived here, at the volcanic face, closest to the source of their magic and power. And this was the Anogrion. Where the bloodmages worked their craft." Viserys told Alicent.

She was distracted of course she was. The window was open and she could hear Miguel talking to his brothers down below in the courtyard. She couldn't understand what they were saying. Of course, she really had to start learning some of his language, but she heard them bickering. She wanted to peer down for sure Miguel will be running a hand over his face because his brothers were taking advantage of him yet again.

'It is truly wondrous what you've built.' Alicent remarked. One little peek wouldn't hurt. As she walked the room the peered out the balcony window. Miguel waved up at her when he saw her. Alicent blushed turning back around.

'Oh no. I only pore over the histories and provide the plans. The stonemasons built the structures.' Viserys corrected.

"Do you believe that Westeros can be another Valyria, Your Grace?" Alicent pondered. She was a fan of history. She liked talking to viserys. He was a kind man but she knew what her father had in mind and she didnt like it one bit. She loved miguel. She loved him

" That depends, whether you speak of the Freehold at its height or at its fall. Over a thousand dragons, a navy large enough to span the seas of the world. The glory of Old Valyria will never be seen again." Viserys remarked but his cup slipped through his fingers crashing to the ground. 'Seven Hells.' He muttered. He sucked in a deep breath looking to Alicent. 'Tell me, how is Rhaenyra?'

'What do you mean?' She countered picking up the shards. She hadn't seen much of her friend. In fact she'd seen more of the King than she had rhaenyra in the past few moons since the Queen's death.

'Well, these days, she doesn't say more than a few words to me. I think she might find it difficult... to discuss personal matters.' Viserys told her. Alicent had visited him often, which he found he enjoyed. She was a bright young woman and eager to learn. Alicent would have rather been with miguel but it seemed like the king needed a friend too, and she was happy to be a friend or even a student to his teachings, but nothing more.

'It will take time. It did when I lost mine own mother.' Alicent informed him. It seemed as though losing mothers was a common factor in life.

"I wish she would approach me." Viserys told Alicent softly.

"What if you went to her?" Alicent offered. Knowing how stubborn both targaryens were neither wanted to make the first move.

"There are times when I would rather face the Black Dread himself than mine own daughter of 15." Viserys informed her bleakly. Alicent chuckled. She felt similarly when she thought of talking to her own father about Miguel.

"I think she would open herself to you if invited. You do have such an easy way about you, Your Grace." Alicent remarked.

"Um..." Viserys took a step away from Alicent. 'you do not mention our talks to Rhaenyra, do you?' Viserys questioned and Alicent stared at him a moment longer confused. 'I just... I fear that she wouldn't understand them.'

'No, Your Grace.' Alicent assured. Rhaenyra would hate her forever. Even if there was nothing going on between them, it would seem as if there was something more.
