Namjoon felt disoriented when Jin and Hoseok reached his side. His head was pounding, his whole body hurt, and he couldn't think properly. He most definitely had a concussion.

The daze the concussion caused didn't clear for a while. Not when the police arrived and asked for a statement – which he was somehow able to give on auto-pilot – and not when manager Sejin arrived and he was taken to the hospital. He was so fucking through with feeling like this. It all felt way too familiar, as if the same thing had happened only yesterday.

Then again, he had been brought to the hospital barely a few days ago, so there was some truth to that feeling.

Hoseok and Jin came along with him of course as they needed to be checked as well. With only half a mind, Namjoon worried about his friends. Were they going to be okay? How hurt were they? He hadn't been able to pay much attention during the fight, but he knew that those two fake guards hadn't been gentle with them.

Once they got to the hospital and were all together in a room, they were checked by a doctor. Hoseok had some damage to the throat and a sprained wrist from being flung to the ground, but other than that he was fine. Jin insisted that he wasn't hurt, but when the doctor checked him he seemed to have some minor to serious bruising on his back that needed to be looked after.

Namjoon had serious bruising to the stomach, shoulder, and jaw. After some checking, the doctor told him he was lucky that he didn't have any internal bleeding. But he did have a concussion and he would be feeling like shit for the coming days, if not weeks.

"I will be prescribing you painkillers, and I need you to stay at least two nights for monitoring. Your concussion is quite severe, Namjoon-ssi."

Namjoon nodded, but closed his eyes when even that movement brought him pain.

The doctor told them he would be back in an hour or two to check up on them.

Just when the doctor left the room, a head popped up in the doorway.

"Jiminie?" Namjoon heard Hoseok ask.

"Can we come in?" Jimin whispered. Namjoon figured they had told him to be quiet, and he was very grateful for that. Every sound hurt his head, but whispering was manageable.

"Of course, just watch your volume, Joonie can't handle much noise."

And then the three maknaes walked into the room, followed by Yoongi. They stood there in the middle of the room for a moment, unsure of what to do. Jungkook had tears in his eyes as he looked at his hurt hyungs, and it was clear he was ready to jump at the first one who called his name.

Which was Hoseok.

"Jungkookie, c'mere," Hoseok whispered, and Jungkook shot forward, basically throwing himself at the dancer. It was enough for Taehyung to do the same with Jin, and Jimin and Yoongi stepped closer to Namjoon.

The two youngest got their comfort from Hoseok and Jin, going on and on about how worried they had been and how the police had suddenly called them and how they had feared for the worst and thank god they were all alive, but oh god they were hurt and-

Namjoon groaned at the noise, holding a hand to his head.

"Hey, are you okay, hyung? Do we need to leave?" he heard Jimin ask him softly.

He opened his eyes, glad the lights were dimmed, and shook his head at the younger. "I-I'm fine..."

Jimin let out a soft sound of disbelief. "You're not. You're hurt, hyung." He started tearing up and Namjoon felt his heart clench. "I'm so sorry... hyungie, I'm so sorry..." Jimin cried.

Namjoon swallowed and took Jimin's hand. "H-Hey, this isn't your fault. I'm just... I should've...I- fuck..." he groaned, closing his eyes. "T-Thinking hurts..." he explained with a mumble.

"Then don't. Just rest, Namjoon-ah," Yoongi said softly from the other side of the bed. Then, even softer, "Can we stay?"

Namjoon nodded. "Of course."

And they stayed for a long time, well past visiting hours, but they were lucky enough to be allowed to stay longer. Eventually, Hoseok and Jin were cleared. They were allowed to go home with the advice to rest well and take some minor painkillers. The six of them had to leave, but they all left reluctantly.

The moment Namjoon was left alone, he started feeling anxious.

'He's weak now, I'll come back for him!' the man had said...

What if he knew what hospital Namjoon was in? What if he came after him, right here? Would Namjoon even be able to fight back, in this state?

His mind went over all the possible scenarios and it made him even more anxious and exhausted.

At some point, a nurse came in to check on him. They had to keep him awake for the first few hours to monitor and see if any more serious injuries came up, such as any bleeding. After that, they told him he could sleep if he felt tired. And boy did he feel exhausted. But how could he sleep? How could he let down his guard and rest when he felt anything but safe?

"Hi, Namjoon-ssi. How are you feeling? Have you slept yet?" the nurse asked softly.

Namjoon shook his head. "Can't sleep."

The nurse frowned in concern. "Anything I can do to make you more comfortable? How high is your level of pain right now?"

"About a six, the painkillers are working," he mumbled. The painkillers were also making him feel extra drowsy and he was physically fighting sleep.

"Try to sleep, Namjoon-ssi. You're safe here, there are nurses everywhere and we check up on you regularly. You don't have to worry."

It didn't help one bit to make him feel safer, but he nodded and thanked her. He wished the members could've stayed with him, that at least one of his hyungs would've been allowed to stay the night.

But that was against the rules and even Namjoon couldn't bend those further than they already had.

Eventually, he couldn't fight off his sleep any longer. Even though he was anxious and didn't feel safe at all, his mind drifted off.
