Kyler P.O.V.
Why is my good friend and future Alpha such an annoying dumb ass? He won't quit, he just wants to terrorize his mate because he was rash in rejecting her.
I've been with him almost all day since getting a ride to school with him and I've seen his unwilling-ness to leave her alone. She goes down one hallway on the other side of school and he follows, even though we're already at our class.
And when she's nowhere near him he just bitches and complains about her, saying how awful she is and how she's stupid for not wanting to be with him. When it was his fault for rejecting her in the first place. In reality I suspect he's mostly upset the Alaric is pursuing her, and after what he said to Trevor yesterday about him needing to accept that he let her go... he's trying to push the blame on Vivian.
I didn't mean to eavesdrop on the two alpha's but they were essentially talking right outside of the bathrooms and I couldn't just walk out in the middle of their argument.
I had to step in after lunch though, there was no reason for him to berate her and to make it worse she turned it on him. She's smart and witty, she's also strong enough to look him in the eyes and deliver an insult.
Trevor is a fool. He should never have rejected Vivian, human or not she'd make an amazing Luna.
She'd be a cool, level-headed, tactical leader; next to Trevors passion and brawn. It's unfortunate that he doesn't have much to bring to the position, but it's a position many grow into.
After speaking with Vivian in class yesterday I've come to the conclusion that she hadn't felt the mate bond, for whatever reason there was nothing inside her drawing her to her mate. That only happens when one mate is too young to recognize the bond.
It's confusing because I know Vivian is nineteen, she's of age for mates but she has absolutely no connection to Trevor. Even humans feel attracted to and attached to their mates even if they don't understand why at first.
There's something about Vivian that's not adding up.
"Another thing is she's oddly tall, why is she so freakishly tall? A head higher than all the other human females, that's weird right?" Trevor whined like a child beside me on the field.
"No." I stated before running at the man shaped pad and hitting it full force, leaving it rattling as I drop it and walk to the back of the line.
"And her looks! She doesn't look like any of the girls around here, her dark hair that's almost black but too rich to be black and her cheekbones could cut glass! No one looks like that.... it's too angular right?" He rambled on.
"N-" I started before he continued.
"Plus her accent! What is that? She says whore so weird, like 'ore' and what she says 'wat', it's so annoying who just drops letters like that?" He said in thought as we get closer to the dummies again.
"And she's not even that smart, she's in my AP Audubon class and she barely tries to answer. Nose in the book and she still doesn't know what's happening." He continues.
I know he's not really talking to me, he's just venting and frankly it's annoying.
"Trev." I say as I let my powers flow from me into him and his wolf.
He finally stops talking and turns to me, "What man?"
"Shut. The. Fuck. Up." I say looking him dead in the eye before facing forward and getting into position to slam into those dummies like they're an opposing teams defensive line.
