Vivian p.o.v.

"Guys can you please pick a place? I'm starving!" I said to Suzanna, Rowan and Carnelia as they kept looking at different menus online.

"Well it's hard to pick, we're not sure if we want pizza, pasta, or Chinese." Nelly said.

"Why not just get burgers, there's four burger places in this shopping mall alone." I said just before my stomach grumbled.

Everyone looked at me and started laughing, I also laughed cause I couldn't help it.

"Alright that's it, I'm going to Pop's Burgers. That place looks like it has greasy burgers and fresh made fries, I'll see y'all at the car." I said as I got out and started walking to the burger place twenty feet in front of us.

I heard multiple doors open and close with laughter littered throughout.

I opened the door and waited for them to catch up.

They entered the small mom and pop joint and I followed, we each ordered a bacon cheddar double burger with fries and while I got iced tea, everyone else grabbed soda.

We were all quiet as we ate, except for the small moans of approval we each gave in appreciation.

"So how did you like the mall!?" Carnelia said excitedly.

"Oh my goddess! It was huge!! It was like a work out to go to all the stores we did, I can't believe you guys wanted to keep going!" I said after I finished chewing my last bite of burger.

"Well we're used to this place and there are soooo many good stores!" Rowan said with a laugh.

"We went to Lush, Abrecrombie, Urban Outfitters, Aerie, Victoria Secret AND Pink, Van's, Old Navy, and like six more! Isn't that enough!?" I said as I angrily munched on my fries.

"Yea yea, it's too much shopping. We hear you." Suzanna said with a laugh.

"Just too much in one day, I can see the rest of the mall another day." I chuckled.

"Oh really? As if you're going to be a mall rat, you're one of the busiest people I've met and I just met you!" Nelly said.

"Well... that's fair. But even though she works me to the bone my mom still let's me have a free day every now and then. Besides it's my own self that works longer hours and tries to make more products cause... nevermind." I said with a laugh.

"No what is it Vivvy?" Row asked.

"It's just cheesy I guess. My mom did everything for me ever since...." I sighed heavily and re-thought where I was going with this before blurting it out. "Ever since my dad died, when I was five. And she's been raising me and running the apothecary and the coven ever since. I feel like I owe it to her." I finished.

Rowan and Suzanna's mouths were hanging open.

"Sooooo much to dissect there but what!? Your mom is a coven leader?" Rowan said incredulously.

"Not just a coven leader Row, THE coven leader. She's the leader of my mom's coven, the Flowers of Jade Coven." Carnelia said with a sly smile.

They both gasped and leaned forward in their chairs to examine me.

"What the hells is going on?" I asked as I looked to Nelly.

"The coven is a big deal here, it was based here for about a full year before it moved on and a lot of older people rave about it. You've probably met a few at the apothecary yesterday, I know Miss Eloise made a visit last night." Nelly said with a laugh.

"Oh so now she'll have a fresh stick of everything!" Rowan said.

"What?" I asked still chewing on fries, as I moved on to Rowan's.
