Third P.O.V
Kyler woke up an hour earlier than usual, he took a shower and got dressed for school in jeans and his jersey from last year out of sheer laziness. He was itching to get back to the pack archives so he could look further into the 'Memory and Knowledge' spell used on the pack.
He'd been thinking about it yesterday during training after he'd gotten knocked on his ass by Gannon, it was like a breakthrough when he stood up from the hit and thought of the book of allied coven's he'd seen in passing.
Kyler thought back to the hangover he'd risen with on Saturday around 2 p.m. before training followed by extra guard patrols, and regretted being talked into a party by Riven and Randy - of all people. Making his weekend a total bust when he woke up with a worse hangover yesterday.
The only good thing this past weekend was hanging out with Rowan for a bit after training yesterday, but she slept over Suzanna's house last night so he wouldn't even see her before they got to the Academy today.
Kyler grabbed his wallet and school bag on the way out, noticing the white numbers of his alarm clock saying 5:18 a.m. and the blinking red light signaling his 6 a.m. alarm was still set. He smirked at his twin's snoring figure under the blankets and laughed as he closed the door.
Serves Randy right for instigating his doom over the weekend. Kyler bounded down the steps and grabbed an orange on his way through the kitchen and out the back door. He was headed straight for Mr. Grant as he and the other pack leaders were getting ready for a run.
"Hey Mr. Grant, could I talk to you for a minute?" Kyler asked with a wave.
"Sure Ky," Mr. Grant nodded at the other guys, "you guys go ahead, I'll catch up." The other guys bounded into the trees to shift, all of them gave waves to Kyler on their way out.
"I was wondering if I could go to the archives before school." Kyler said hopefully.
"I really commend your efforts but I can't do that for security reasons. We're all going on a run and we have work to do, I won't be able to let you out. I can't risk you getting stuck down there if anything happened up there." Wyatt said earnestly. "You'll have to come back after school, like you have been. Sorry son, when you're in power you'll understand." He said with a smile and a firm pat on Kyler's shoulder.
"Oh and you gotta address me by my title in front of the other guys. I know you've basically grown up in my house but I'm the Delta, you have to show the same respect you'd want to receive in the future." Wyatt said with a smile.
"I understand sir, thanks for hearing me out. See you later Mr. Grant, I mean Delta." Kyler said with a disappointed smile before heading back towards the house.
Wyatt looked after him and shook his head with a chuckle before heading into the trees to change and shift, he thought again about the possibility of Kyler and Randy being his little girl's mates. At least they were both trustworthy guys, and future Gamma's weren't a bad match up for his princess. Wyatt cleared his head and shifted into his greying, tan coated wolf and caught up to his friends and fellow pack leaders.
Kyler however was headed towards the front of the house, he grabbed his keys from his pocket and got on his Harley. He would find something today, he was determined too.

On the other side of the mountain; a pure black mass was weaving through the trees and staying parallel to the pack boarder, eye's darting around to watch for rouges or anything else suspicious.
There was less necessity because Titian and Alaric knew the morning patrol was just behind him, doing a more thorough job of course.
Titian shook out his fur as a particularly cold gust of wind hit him, he steered to the left and started to head back to the pack house.
